A levy is a fee that clubs can collect from students to provide a larger, consistent source of income for funding large and complex projects, long-distance competitions, and various other activities. There are about 5,200 students in EngSoc and a levy would collect a few dollars from each student if passed.
A list of currently existing levies can be found at skule.ca/levies. All clubs are able to apply to have a levy created for their team. But note, because such a large amount is being asked, their applications must be thorough and well justified. Applications are now open and will be until midnight of February 18, 2026.
