A calculator to help you figure out how many golem types you may want to use depending on # of Harmony jewels, Ascendancy, and equipment.

How do I use this?

This document is read-only. You'll need to click File > Download As Excel, or send a copy to your own Gmail account to edit it yourself.

Once you've done that:

Go to either the Elementalist (blue) or Necromancer (green) section at the bottom.

Edit the number of Primordial Jewels to match the number/percent of what you have/want.

Use the dropdown menus to select what Ascendancy/Passive nodes you have/want.

Input whatever other sources of "Increased Damage" you have in the appropriate cell (column M).

See what values you get in red table.

What does it mean when you have a Configuration of X.Y.Z?

It means you have X golems of your main type (on your 5L or 6L chest or Elder/Shaper Helm), as well as 1 golem of type Y

and 1 golem of type Z on weaker links.

ex. 5 Flame Golems, 1 Lightning Golem, and 1 Ice Golem would be 5.1.1.

What does the Overall Damage factor indicate? Why not just a simple DPS number?

It indicates how much damage you can expect from your main golems combined as a factor of your base 5 or 6-link.

ex. Overall Damage factor of 25x means your main golems as a group should combine to do ~25x your base link.

This is different from Path of Building in that POB only shows DPS for 1 ability of 1 golem at a time, while this is more of an overall view.

Moreover, it makes it easier to compare different configs, whereas simple DPS readouts are not always apples-to-apples comparisons.

A flat DPS number doesn't account for cooldowns, link variations, situational golem skill mechanics, etc.

Does the damage factor include damage contributed by sub-golems?

No. Trying to include sub-golems in the calculation would complicate both the process and the conclusions we could draw,

especially considering the wildly varying Support Gems people use for them. Consider sub-golems as a tiebreaker using your best judgement.
