A few notes on using this tool:

• "Setup" tab: fill in the yellow highlighted cells with your own info (currencies, investment categories, accounts, and stock / ETF tickers)

• "Trade Log" tab: enter each of your buy / sell / split / dividend / return of capital transactions on a separate row

• "Dashboard" tab: this tab will now be automatically updated for you. Select the date and currency that you would like to have your portfolio summarized by. You can also see the performance of your portfolio over time on this tab

• "Your Portfolio Holdings" tab: this tab will automatically show your individual investments at your chosen date

• "Monthly Performance" tab: shows the month-by-month change in your portfolio value, portfolio returns, and benchmarking versus the S&P500 index and a custom index of your choice

• "Realized Gains" tab: for tracking your profit/loss on sold positions

• "Dividends" tab: shows your history of dividends received broken down by investment account / category / currency, and a view of your current portfolio yield metrics

• "Re-Balancing" tab: this tab shows what trades you need to make to re-balance your portfolio back to your target asset allocation

• This spreadsheet uses Google Finance to pull the prices of your investments; sometimes Google Finance will give errors for for certain investment symbols or dates; if this is happening, try refreshing the spreadsheet (by refreshing your browser or by pressing 'F5' or 'control+F5'); if this still does not work, you will need to manually enter the prices on the "Your Portfolio Holdings" tab (columns H, AL, and AF)
