How to Use Highly Targeted Keywords Tab

Step 1: Determine your top seed keywords (the most obvious ones)

Step 2: Determine your top 10-25 competitors and grab their ASINS (prefer using Zonguru)

Step 3: Run a ZonGuru "Keywords on Fire" analysis OR Helium10 Cerebro reverse ASIN analysis/ Note* This Cheat sheet is compatible with Zonguru as we have found that tool eliminates many of the steps to find highly targeted Keywords.

Step 4: Filter results (ZG = Search Volume >300, Top 25 > 5). We want high search volume + High relevancy.

Step 5: Zonguru: Eliminate other columns. Keep keywords, search volume, Top 25, ZG Launch and competitor ranks)

Step 6: Download CSV, then open CSV. Delete the Cat litter mat keywords. Copy paste into keyword section.

How to Use Ongoing Keyword Research Tab

Step 1: Perfrom ongoing keyword research on a regular basis. Enter keywords into the correct columns based on where you found them.

Step 2: Once keywords are entered, go back to the Highly targeted and Wide Reach keywords tabs to see if they are already found. This will be indicated by seeing TRUE next to the keyword.

Suggestions: Check search term report weekly, Check brand analytics quarterly. Check Amazon suggested Keywords (from sponsored product ads) Quarterly. Check Other Keyword Research Tools quarterly.

Reminder: Don't keyword dump. Better to test a small amount of targets/keywords at a time, see if they convert and go from there.

How to Use ASIN Expansion Tab

Step 1: Study the different ways to obtain ASINS that you can target inside of Product Targeting Campaigns. Product Targeting campaigns can be used for Sponsored Product Ads, Sponsored Brand Ads, and Sponsored Display Ads.

Step 2: Each Column represents a unique way to obtain ASINS based on the your goals. Each column will have a short video to show you how to gather those ASINS.

Step 3: Use tab 8--> Customer buying cycle cheat sheet to determine strategy and how to use these ASINS.

Step 4: This tool will allow us to combine and dedupe a list of ASINS and show us the frequency of how many ties that ASIN appeared in our research. Paste list of ASINS in the correct column based on where you found the ASINS.

Step 5: Click on TOOLS --> MACROS --> ASIN EXPANSION MACRO--> GIVE PERMISSION. Initially, you may need to run this process twice. Once for permission and once to complete the task.

Step 6: The system will show you a combined a deduped list. Use the ASINS as part of your ASIN targeting strategy as discussed in the Playbook Series.
