" -Chad M. (Chad Tchad) | 82.5 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | "Initial flavor is a little harsh with some acidic floral flavor. Heavy Mineral notes really coat the palette. Retrohale has light black pepper but some ammonia type flavor to it. " -Chad M. (Chad Tchad) | 85 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | "The harsh flavor has let up some but still is taking away from this cigar. It's an odd acidic floral flavor sort of like decaying flowers. The heavy mineral notes has also lessened. These flavors letting up has improved the smoke from the 1st third, but still has not enjoyable yet. Retrohale has transformed to some spicy black pepper now." -Chad M. (Chad Tchad) | 85 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | "The odd and harsh flavors of acidic floral notes has lessened even more however the cigar has just taste bland now like simple tobacco. 3 | 10/9/2022 14:51:15 | Estevan Z. | TheRealBanzi) | 1320 | 92.5 | "This cigar sports a nicely applied wrapper that is brindle in color. The seams are even, tight, and visible. If you look very closely, at the wrapper, you will see a fine tooth. All of this is finished with a tight point and a triple cap. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 90 | "The body of this cigar has a bunch going on. Notes of barnyard, brown sugar and green moss can be found. Sniffing the foot gives me notes of straw and a combo of spices. After a few cold draws I am left with a jammy sweetness on the palate. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 92.5 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | "The cigar opens with some earthy tone then quickly shifts to more of a richer profile. Notes of cacao, cedar, and baking spices can all be easily picked out. The retrohale is bright and playful, with notes from the entire spice cabinet. The smoke is silky smooth while the finish is medium in length. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 92.5 | Medium | Medium | "On the palate the flavors have stayed the same. The change in profile has come in the retrohale. There is a mint notes building in the sinuses. At about the halfway point of the third the mint starts to build on the palate as well. The finish is still medium in length but the body and strength have jumped up a notch. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 92.5 | Medium | Medium | "As I head into the homestretch the profile, from the first two thirds, has found a harmonious balance. Cacao, mint, and baking spice can be found on both the palate and sinuses. This makes me think of an Andes dinner mint. As I reach the last inch I find myself not wanting this cigar to end. The finish has stayed medium but is flavorful. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 95 | "This cigar showcased an excellent draw. There was the perfect amount resistant which created a mouthful of flavorful smoke. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 95 | "This slow burning cigar had a razor sharp and thin burn line. I never once had to think about a relight. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 95 | "As close to perfect as a cigar can be. The bunch and roll was masterful. The ash was firm and held on for a third at a time. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 95 | "I know that Belicoso, Torpedo, and Pyramid don’t get much love from the general cigar public but I love them. They always seem to showcase amazing flavor profiles. This cigar was so flavorful and checked every box for me. I highly recommend it to anyone that is seeking a cigar that showcases every aspect of cigar making. " -Kevin J. (maninblack77) | 92.5 | "Hints of leather, oak and dry cocoa are the aromas getting from the wrapper and the foot. I clipped the cap off and the cold draw offered an abundance of these flavors. " -Kevin J. (maninblack77) | 95 | Medium | Medium | "Toasted the foot and the first several draws were full of several bright flavors including dry cocoa, leather, and oak/woodiness. These flavors were very dominant even on the retrohale. There was a hint of black pepper on the back end that really rounded out the flavor profile. The strength was medium to full as was the body. Very enjoyable first third. " -Kevin J. (maninblack77) | 95 | Medium | Medium | "The second third is where things open up and you really get a nice mixing of different flavors including cocoa, leather, oak, baking spices and some slight notes of cinnamon. The burn evens itself out after a wavy start. The body and strength remain medium. This cigar is really shining so far. Very enjoyable. " -Kevin J. (maninblack77) | 95 | Medium | Medium | "The flavors in this cigar are very consistent even to the very end. The mixture of oak, leather, cocoa and baking spices with hints of cinnamon and black pepper on the retro truly work well as a team to create an enjoyable finish to this cigar. It was a cigar that I had to burn down to about half an inch due to how much I liked it. " -Kevin J. (maninblack77) | 100 | "Zero issues" -Kevin J. (maninblack77) | 95 | "Wavy at times but easily corrected. " -Kevin J. (maninblack77) | 95 | "Consistency is the key word for this cigar. The flavors were bold and kept my palate interested from beginning to end. 5 | 10/16/2022 17:31:24 | Kevin A. | Kevin A.) | 1320 | 87.5 | "This torpedo cigar has a medium brown wrapper with quite a bit of color variation throughout. The cap appears to be fairly roughly applied with a few wrinkles in the wrapper. Otherwise the cigar appears fairly well constructed. The wrapper is fairly toothy and does not have very much oil, and it has a drier appearance. " -Kevin A. (Kevin A.) | 90 | "Barnyard, earth and natural tobacco are the primary aromas from the foot. The body of the cigar has a little bit of graham cracker and cinnamon in addition to the flavor notes from the foot of the cigar. " -Kevin A. (Kevin A.) | 85 | Medium | Medium | "The cigar starts out with a little bit of white pepper, dry grass, hay and a little bit of damp cedar. The retrohale, which is silky smooth, has almost a club soda note, with hints of bakers spice with a slight mustiness to it. Draw is spot on, and burn has a slight wobble to it, but is performing well. " -Kevin A. (Kevin A.) | 85 | Medium | Medium | "Pretty much unchanged from the beginning of the cigar, except the cedar notes are leaving a bitterness on the tongue that is not very pleasant. Burn and draw have continued to perform well, and the strength is very mellow. The retrohale is still full of mustiness and bakers spices. " -Kevin A. (Kevin A.) | 87.5 | Medium | Medium | "Interestingly and thankfully, the bitterness in the middle part of the cigars has gone by the wayside. Bread notes, bakers spice, hay and dry cedar are all fighting for dominance, while the retrohale remains mostly the same, now with a hint of red pepper flakes adding a little spice to the profile. " -Kevin A. (Kevin A.) | 95 | "Great draw from pre-light to finish" -Kevin A. (Kevin A.) | 92.5 | "Little wobbly at times but very consistent all the way through" -Kevin A. (Kevin A.) | 92.5 | "Although it looked a little rough, it goes to prove looks aren't everything." -Kevin A. (Kevin A.) | 87.5 | "Start and finish we ok, the middle not so much. " -Lauren S. (Lauren S.) | 85 | Medium | Light-Medium | "Into the second third, this cigar is burning fast and has little going on. Still mostly just a solid earth base. 90 | 10/9/2022 14:51:15 | Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 1320 | Great | This cigar sports a nicely applied wrapper that is brindle in color. The seams are even, tight, and visible. If you look very closely, at the wrapper, you will see a fine tooth. All of this is finished with a tight point and a triple cap. | Very Good | The body of this cigar has a bunch going on. Notes of barnyard, brown sugar and green moss can be found. Sniffing the foot gives me notes of straw and a combo of spices. After a few cold draws I am left with a jammy sweetness on the palate. | Great | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | The cigar opens with some earthy tone then quickly shifts to more of a richer profile. Notes of cacao, cedar, and baking spices can all be easily picked out. The retrohale is bright and playful, with notes from the entire spice cabinet. The smoke is silky smooth while the finish is medium in length. | Great | Medium | Medium | On the palate the flavors have stayed the same. The change in profile has come in the retrohale. There is a mint notes building in the sinuses. At about the halfway point of the third the mint starts to build on the palate as well. The finish is still medium in length but the body and strength have jumped up a notch. | Great | Medium | Medium | As I head into the homestretch the profile, from the first two thirds, has found a harmonious balance. Cacao, mint, and baking spice can be found on both the palate and sinuses. This makes me think of an Andes dinner mint. As I reach the last inch I find myself not wanting this cigar to end. The finish has stayed medium but is flavorful. | Excellent | This cigar showcased an excellent draw. There was the perfect amount resistant which created a mouthful of flavorful smoke. | Excellent | This slow burning cigar had a razor sharp and thin burn line. I never once had to think about a relight. | Excellent | As close to perfect as a cigar can be. The bunch and roll was masterful. The ash was firm and held on for a third at a time. | Excellent | I know that Belicoso, Torpedo, and Pyramid don’t get much love from the general cigar public but I love them. They always seem to showcase amazing flavor profiles. This cigar was so flavorful and checked every box for me. I highly recommend it to anyone that is seeking a cigar that showcases every aspect of cigar making. I will most definitely seek it out, when the review is published, and add it to my smoking rotation. | 126
91 | 10/16/2022 8:13:42 | Kevin J. (maninblack77) | 1320 | Great | The wrapper is mottled in places but it has a nice sheen to it from the oils. Leather like in color and appearance. | Great | Hints of leather, oak and dry cocoa are the aromas getting from the wrapper and the foot. I clipped the cap off and the cold draw offered an abundance of these flavors. | Excellent | Medium | Medium | Toasted the foot and the first several draws were full of several bright flavors including dry cocoa, leather, and oak/woodiness. These flavors were very dominant even on the retrohale. There was a hint of black pepper on the back end that really rounded out the flavor profile. The strength was medium to full as was the body. Very enjoyable first third. | Excellent | Medium | Medium | The second third is where things open up and you really get a nice mixing of different flavors including cocoa, leather, oak, baking spices and some slight notes of cinnamon. The burn evens itself out after a wavy start. The body and strength remain medium. This cigar is really shining so far. Very enjoyable. | Excellent | Medium | Medium | The flavors in this cigar are very consistent even to the very end. The mixture of oak, leather, cocoa and baking spices with hints of cinnamon and black pepper on the retro truly work well as a team to create an enjoyable finish to this cigar. It was a cigar that I had to burn down to about half an inch due to how much I liked it. | Perfect | Zero issues | Excellent | Wavy at times but easily corrected. | Close to Perfect | The mix of binder and filler tobaccos used in this as well as the choice of wrapper really worked well for this blend. | Excellent | Consistency is the key word for this cigar. The flavors were bold and kept my palate interested from beginning to end. The cocoa, leather, oak and baking spices enveloped my palate. It performed remarkably well. I would recommend this to just about any cigar Smoker and I would definitely smoke this cigar again. | 75
92 | 10/16/2022 17:31:24 | Kevin A. (Kevin A.) | 1320 | Good | This torpedo cigar has a medium brown wrapper with quite a bit of color variation throughout. The cap appears to be fairly roughly applied with a few wrinkles in the wrapper. Otherwise the cigar appears fairly well constructed. The wrapper is fairly toothy and does not have very much oil, and it has a drier appearance. | Very Good | Barnyard, earth and natural tobacco are the primary aromas from the foot. The body of the cigar has a little bit of graham cracker and cinnamon in addition to the flavor notes from the foot of the cigar. | Fair | Medium | Medium | The cigar starts out with a little bit of white pepper, dry grass, hay and a little bit of damp cedar. The retrohale, which is silky smooth, has almost a club soda note, with hints of bakers spice with a slight mustiness to it. Draw is spot on, and burn has a slight wobble to it, but is performing well. | Fair | Medium | Medium | Pretty much unchanged from the beginning of the cigar, except the cedar notes are leaving a bitterness on the tongue that is not very pleasant. Burn and draw have continued to perform well, and the strength is very mellow. The retrohale is still full of mustiness and bakers spices. | Good | Medium | Medium | Interestingly and thankfully, the bitterness in the middle part of the cigars has gone by the wayside. Bread notes, bakers spice, hay and dry cedar are all fighting for dominance, while the retrohale remains mostly the same, now with a hint of red pepper flakes adding a little spice to the profile. | Excellent | Great draw from pre-light to finish | Great | Little wobbly at times but very consistent all the way through | Great | Although it looked a little rough, it goes to prove looks aren't everything. | Good | Start and finish we ok, the middle not so much. The flavors weren't bad, it just was not a memorable smoking experience. I would maybe give it another shot just to see if it was me or the cigar. Regardless, it was a decent smoking experience | 107
93 | 10/16/2022 23:08:42 | Lauren S. (Lauren S.) | 1320 | Fair | A toro size with a very pointed torpedo tip but this is not a visually appealing cigar. Uneven coloring, it is very splotchy with heavy veining and a rough roll. | Good | A very light scent of just earth and muskiness. | Good | Mild-Medium | Light | This blend opens with a heavy earth and dirt taste. The draw is rather open for a torpedo and I'm getting a lot of smoke but not a ton of flavor. | Fair | Medium | Light-Medium | Into the second third, this cigar is burning fast and has little going on. Still mostly just a solid earth base. There is a little bit of a red pepper bite on my tongue but only a hint of actual pepper taste. | Fair | Medium | Light-Medium | Still does not have a lot of flavors and still smoking really fast. Earth, slight red pepper hit, and in this final third slightly bitter harshness. | Great | Almost too open of a draw which is shocking for a torpedo, especially since I only v- cut it. | Fair | The burn was rough the entire cigar, constantly running up one side or the other. Some adjust on their own, and several required touch-ups. | Fair | Between the fast and uneven burn, cracking wrapper, and very open draw the construction seemed to be full of problems. | Fair | While this blend was smokable all the way through, there was a lack of flavor, possibly due to the multiple construction issues. Some earth and red pepper were really all I ever got out of this blend. The cracking wrapper, terrible burn, and fast burn time made this overall a rough cigar to get through. | 61
