2
1It was interesting.3I don't see how we need to know it, but it was cool.It was that the rights aren't as good there. It was Tiananmen Square.2It was fun to draw the pictures.
It was a really cool concept to the project.
I didn't like the presentation.
Getting all the pictures in the right order and not messing up.We worked well as a team.We could get better facts and websites.Don't slack off-do your best.Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)

2It was fun2It was interesting It's environment It's low wages1It's was challenging DrawingDeveloping the scriptDeveloping the scriptDrawingNo whereGet the work doneTime management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Nothing
4
2It was spaced out perfectly and I'm glad we didn't need to do any unnecessary learning1We got to learn about what we wanted to learn The tiananmen square How they cut people off from the knowledge of the world1We didn't need to take notes on useless thingsWe could chose our topics and we weren't rushedDistractions in the roomTo draw the picturesGet all of our information together Get more information Accept your topic and just do itTime management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
5
5It showed us about how China's government works and how they trade with the US economically (trade relations).4It was important to realize how China's government works and how they trade with the US economically. The fact that over 200 people died at Tiananmen Square on June 4, 1989 to protest human rights in China. The fact that the younger generation in China today has no knowledge or understanding of what happened there.5It was fun working together as a group and completing each phase of project together (teamwork and cooperation).Shooting the video.Doing the research and writing down 10 facts.Condensing everyone's facts to make a solid one and half page script and keep the video over two minutes and under three minutes. The fact that we worked together and communicated on who was doing what everyday during each step of the process.Making less pictures and making them bigger to fit the screen.Always plan ahead of time and don't wait until the last minute to do anything.Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
6
1It was really interesting and the project as fun1It helped me learn about some current events that I wasn't aware before. That China has been around for 4thousand yearsI thought that the architecture on buildings had a symbolic meaning was interesting.1It was fun to work with my group and find interesting things about culture.DrawingFinding a good website was my least favorite part.Organizing the steps on Google docsEveryone worked together and did an equal amount of workOrganizationMake sure everyone is on task and understands what to doClear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
7
2It is interesting to learn about one of my favorite countries 1I wish to go or live there one dayTianna Minh square The severity of the slave labour2It was a good experience to have to make a script and collaborate with other people on the topicThe making of the videoFinding the sourcesWriting the scriptThe script and getting resources Shaving down on information just a littleFinnish everything as soon as possibleTime management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)
8
2I liked learning about their economy and the lifestyles of Chinese people2Yes because China affects Americas economyThe human rights issueThat they have the second largest economy in ththe world1It was fun and challenging and a unique approach at learningThe video practiceGetting the factsPutting the pictures in at the right timeThe length of our video and the unique reusing of our photos to blend in with the scriptNot much but maybe we could of added a little more picturesUse class time wisely and you will do wellTime management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Not much really
9
5Yes because I take Chinese and I will be visiting it when I'm more fluent and to do business when I'm an adult5Yes because in the future, I will be going to China and I'll be doing business with Chinese people when I'm an adult. I learned that China has a HUGE booming economy The most interesting thing I learned was that China doesn't have an official religion 5China project was fun and different than those hard tests I liked drawing the pictures and moving them Getting the notes and research done Deciding on what to put into the script (our group was arguing a little bit)We did the work very efficiently and we finished before the other groups in our classWe could've decided what to put in the script with a bit less arguing and talking all at onceTry to work well with your group to plan the script, like don't talk all at once.Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
10
2Because certain parts were interesting and other were boring 1Because then you can understand why China doesn't certain things the do in future years. How bad some people are treated and how bad they treat their environment. That the US needs to stop using China's factory's, this is because, one they are ruining the water and they are destroying the air that so many people breathe in.1It was a lot of fun to explore our own topics but then put it all together with other people's research.I like the drawingHaving to research so much.Working on the chrome books.Being efficient.Getting all the research done on time. Be efficient, it's better to finish early Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
11
4I feel like I learned a lot about the history of US and China trade and why everything is made in China4Knowing about China probably will help me in know what I'm talking when talking about politics in the future That China has the second largest economy in the worldThat "tank man" actually tried to stop a tank and almost succeeded 5I feel like it was a lot of fun to create pictures of what happened and China. It made it easier to grasp the concept of what we were learningDrawing the picturesHaving to write down ten facts and not ending up to have time for even half of them in the video Timing and getting all the pictures out at the right timePutting everything together for the video Don't take as much time editing the script Don't stress over it and focus on all your facts and what your trying to tell your audience Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
12
2It was cool learning about what was the story behind the infamous photo3We learn history out of curiosityThe Tiannamen Massacre Tiannamen Massacre 3It was ok I guess The actual thing How my group criticized me for not doing anything but I actually didDrawing and the group realizing I did something but they think other wise DrawingsSpeaking with each otherJust don't worry and enjoy but get everything done Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)
13
2I liked learning more about conflicts between China and Hong Kong 3It is useful to learn about China's economy because China is currently a big trading partner with the US.China has a command economyChina was colonized by many major powers after the Opium War in the 19th Century.2I like the idea of putting pictures on a screen to teach a concept about China.I liked drawing the pictures.I did not enjoy the researching part. I thought 10 facts each was to much.Finding useful websites.Create a good script.Create less pictures.Don't create too many pictures. This ends up being confusing When Your group is running through the script.Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
14
3It is a hot topic in today's world.3It has a very large economy. This could help future businesses. It is the second largest economy in the world. It 3It was an interactive way to learn about China.Actually filming the project.I did not like cutting down the script.Cutting down the script. My group was exceptionally good at art. They also cooperated and finished everything on time.Start with a smaller script. While making your script, keep the tome limit in team.Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)Make the time limit larger.
15
1It was an interesting subject
1I can understand what they are talking about on the news China has been around for 4000 years They worship their ancestors souls 1I liked it a lot better than having a test I liked drawing the pictures I did t like taking the notes Writing the script was challenging We were on top of things, non of us were behind in thingsBeing organized Don't put it off Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
16
3It wasn't as recent as some of the other units we have learned about.4Since this unit was mostly the project, we only learned about one topic so it wasn't very useful to not learn about China overall. All the revolutions, because I had no idea that China used to be agricultural based and it was very important to learn about the industrial and cultural revolutions.I didn't know that Mao Zedong was such a mean leader (from the people's perspective). I was suprized to learn how many people died in this rapid transformation.2I enjoyed the project because we got to be creative and take a break from homework everyday, but the downside of this was that we only got to learn about one topic.I enjoyed drawing the pictures because it was fun and I also really liked rehearing for our video because it was interesting to script out directions for the stage hand and imagine where each picture goes.I didn't enjoy the note taking process. I usually write notes as short one sentence bullet points, but in this project we had to write 3-5 notes which was different than what I am used to.Taking notes was difficult for me but I am glad that I did it because now I can use these note taking skills in other classes for different projects.Organizing our time and dividing the work according to our strengths. I was in charge of writing certain things, stage hand directions and coloring pictures. The other members of my team worked on their topics and drawing and cutting out pictures.Next time, we would definitely get the notes done quicker so we could spend more time on developing a more in depth script and making our video more interesting. At first, our team didn't really care about taking notes and we procrastinated. We started writing the script without complete notes which was a huge inconvenience. If we had finished the notes earlier, it would have been easier to just copy and paste our notes into the script. Also, follow your outline! It's really helpful to organize your information. When drawing the pictures, split up the work. Have one person draw, someone cut out the pictures, and someone color the pictures. This is a quick and efficient way to create as many pictures as possible in the limited time. It is better to have a shorter script than longer because long videos are boring! And lastly, be awesome.Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)
17
4It was interesting. However, I already knew most of the facts we learned.4Learning about China is useful because China is a very important and powerful country. The most important thing I learned was that China has an Internet firewall and blocks thousands of websites like Google, Instagram, and YouTube. The most interesting thing I learned was also that China has an Internet firewall and blocks thousands of websites like Google, Instagram, and YouTube. 4It was fun researching, creating a script, and making pictures. I enjoyed creating and reading the script. I didn't like cutting out paragraphs when we went overtime. The biggest challenge was the timing. We created the script but had to cut many sections out because we went overtime. We developed a good script. We could have read through our facts to make sure they answer the research question. Make sure you look at the research question and make sure that your facts answer the question. Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Explaining our research question
18
2I did because there is a lot of interesting things going on in china2Yes because China is a very big country with a lot of people that is developingThey are our second biggest trade partner after Canada I was suprised that there are a lot of executions in china2It was fun because everybody on the team had to work togetherI liked making the script and drawing the picturesI didn't like doing the research because you first had to find the websites and then you would choose from everybody else's websitesWhen doing the video I got a little nervousWe worked well and coordinated well by making pictures that went with the scriptWe could practice some more before the videoIf somebody is absent they do their part of the work tooClear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)
19
1I didn't know anything about it so it was very interesting to me.2I can now relate to things that are happening in the world because I know more about them. The am pint of people there and how much it takes for all of them to survive. The most suprising thing that I learned about China was how un connected people there are from the outside world.1It was challenging but really fun to work with your groupDrawing the pictures.I didn't like finding the facts it just took very long.Aligning when to put the pictures in and out on the script. We always got a lot accomplished during the class time.TalkingGet as much as you can done in class every day.Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)
20
1I liked learning about the things that we wanted to.1I liked learning about current day China and their economyThe most important thing that I learned about China was that they have a fire wall for their internet. The most suprising thing that I learned about China was that they didn't sign documents stating that they would only use Nuclear warheads in response to an attack until the early 2000s3It was fun and stressful at the same timeI liked learning about China's military capabilities.I didn't like that there were deadlines set for all groups instead of letting the groups decide their own deadlines. The drwings were for me because I am not a very good drawerMy group really worked well meeting our deadlines. We could have definitely writing our script betterMake sure your script is good before you move onto anything else.Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)
21
2I liked learning about US and China relations because before I only knew China's ancient history and wasn't as familiar with modern day.2China is really important to understanding civilizations and how cultures and traditions can develop over centuries.I think the most important thing was that although China has a good economy their human rights is nowhere near the United States human rights.I think the most useful thing was that China is growing to become an international world power economically and militarily.2I liked drawing pictures because usually we do more writing.I liked drawing the pictures and working in a group.I didn't like that we had to research a lot but in the end only a portion goes into the final draft.Cutting all of the information into a three minute script Staying organized throughout the process and writing the script. More specific notes for some people. Manage your time well in class because even though it seems like a lot of time it isn't. Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
22
2I found it interesting learning about the human rights problems.3I found it useful because you learn about a countries problemsThe human rights concernsThe most surprising thing I learned was about workers rights.2I like learning about the human rights and I like group projects. My favorite thing was that it was agroup projectI didn't like the drawing. The most challenging part for me was staying on taskI got my websites in time.We could've drawn our pictures fasterGet everything in in time.Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
23
1My family is from China and I enjoyed learning where we came from1My family is from China China is has one of the world biggest economiesChina has grown it's economy really quickly 2I was fun, but a bit stressfulI enjoyed the rehearsals I didn't like the fact that we only had one take on the video part of thingsI think the filming was one of the most challenging parts on the China projectI think our groups biggest strength was getting the research done on timePractice a bit more on moving the pictures in and out of the frameMake sure you have time to rehearse Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
24
1Because I had a good group and I got the topic I wanted 2Because I think it's important to learn about other countries so you can learn how they impact ours I learned that China's government keeps its citizens under high surveillanceI learned that no one knows the indentitiy of the tank man 1I had a very good group and I got the topic I wanted and overall I thought it was a good project I enjoyed drawing the pictures and rehearsing with my group I didn't like the facts part of the project I thought making the facts and timeline for me was challenging mostly because it took along time I think the fact that we worked well together and got our work done was helpful I think at sometimes we had the opportunity to rehearse some more and we didn't I would say that doing work at home is a very good idea Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)
25
2Because it is current which is nice2Because it is current and is even in political events going on nowI learned how they have a big economy but it is unstable It was interesting that they have restriction online for the people3It was fun stressful but also I didn't feel like I learned as much about just China as I wanted because I only learned about the specific events I was assigned to write about and most were about Hong Kong I liked making the pictures to make the videos look niceI didn't like the one take part of it It was hard to make a perfect video and even though there are a few slip ups and doesn't matter it's a lot of pressureWe gathered our information the best and had good sourcesWe could have done stage hands and reading a little betterI would tell them to keep the script easy and have pictures to make it more funClear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)
26
2I really liked learning about China through the project. I liked that I got to choose what I focused my learning on.2China is a big country with a lot of power and I didn't really know anything about it. If I hear something about China in the news, I will have a little background on what it is like there.I found it really important to learn about Chinese human rights.I was surprised about how China wasn't really a superpower until now.2I liked working in a group and choosing what topic to really learn about.I liked drawing the pictures.I didn't like the writing notes part.I thought the note taking was the hardest part.We worked well together and we all had good facts that transferred easily into a script. Our group was not very "artsy". We tried our best but our pictures weren't the best.Make sure you work diligently in class.Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
27
2I liked the topic about human rights that we did because it is very different from us2It is good to know how they do things here because it can give us reasons to do it the same way or not to do it the same wasyHow their factories conditions and how they react people in them are very badThe most surprising was how the conditions are really bad and how some people hate it so much they are willing to end their life.2It was a more fun experience than just talking in classI liked how we drew pictures about what we were sayingI didn't like when we were narrowing down our research When we had to make the outline and scriptWe did well at getting our research donwWe could be more efficient with the picture drawingsStay on task and don't get behindClear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
28
1It was very interesting but also challenging 1It told me more about the relationship between the United States and China and it also taught me about the history of the two countries and where China stands right now. That Richard Nixon was the first president to meet with China on China soil because it also started a long but good relationship between the two countriesTaiwan and China don't get along and United States is torn to both sides1So much funFilming the project and rehearsing it was the most funI felt like I didn't put enough commitment into the project and it really hurt me and my partnersMe falling behind and not completing the 10 facts on timeWorking together with good team chemistryCutting down on information and picturesGet the facts and notes done early Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
29
1Because I have always wondered how China became itself today 2I guess because now I know more about its economy and its history About how China split over different ideas of old and new China I think it was how Tianananmen square went down and how it started 1I had a great time drawing the images and explaining how Tiananmen Square happened.I think it was making the images to match the script I think it was finding the websites I think it was getting the important facts together and making the script I think we put the script together the best and making the drawings We could have improved on not getting distracted by Eachother Get it done and don't be late with your work Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Nothing
30
1It was fascinating to see what is going on in major countries around the world1It's important to know what's going on in the worldHuman Rights in China have been questioned because of child labor, women's rights, and people going to jail for unfair reasonsIt was surprising to see how bad the human rights are in China because it is definitely a successful country1We had time to interact with peers and work together to complete a well done projectRehearsing for the presentation was very fun because we were done with all the hard work and just needed to put the project togetherIf your group thinks they should do something and you disagree you still have to listen to your group and be nice to them even if your madFinding the right information to put in the scriptWe communicated well and knew what we had to get doneWe could have talked more when we were finding the information so we weren't researching the wrong topicsWork with other people besides your friends so you can build more friendshipsTime management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
31
2i enjoyed learning about all of the technology in China 3I think it is useful to learn about other places history That many children aren't getting prepared enough for college in high school That the three gorges dam is having more nevitive impact than positive impact 2I enjoyed it a lot because I learned information and it was fun but I wish that we were allowed to record it more than once That our project came out well in the end Making pictures Collecting all of the information and having to shorten it down We all contributed to the project and there was nobody that didnt contribute their part of the project to the project We could make better pictures Be a good teammate Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
32
1It's been my favorite to up we've covered so far mostly because of the video project. 1China is a a growing opponent for the US so it's a current event which is often on the news as well as a talked about concern. I like knowing about current events and knows about the things that are in the news Their government Things about is working policies and laws about income and the child policies 1I really enjoy getting to work independently I liked doing the research and making the pictures Making the illustrations Probably the time constraint but we made it work. We all worked pretty well together and there wasn't any disagreement Probably managing the time and rehearsing. It would have helped if we finished the script a day earlier Just follow directions Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
33
1I am interested in the topic. The way we learned about China was fun.1This gives me a sense of what is going on in China. I take Chinese and I wondered about China's situation. This helped me out a lot.I thought that the amount of internet control in China was really important, because it shows that China is only giving their people the information that they want them to see. Chinese citizens The most surprising thing that I learned is that China knows what everyone is seeing on the internet. That is pretty creepy.1The workload was very fair and it was fun. I liked the part when my team combined all of our facts. This showed that we worked well as a team. I grew to become better friends with my teammates.Rehearsing the video was my favorite part because I liked seeing how far we got. I enjoyed seeing how everything turned out. Making the pictures for the video was my least favorite part. I am not an artist. The most challenging part was trimming down our information. We had too much on our script. My group gave full effort and put in the work that was needed. Our group could have improved on giving out stage hands directions.I would tell them to be a good team member and do the work that needs to be done so that your group succeeds.Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)There was nothing that he could improve on. Everything was clear to me.
34
5I enjoyed it because I enjoyed doing the project 3I think it is fun and interesting to know information about other countries, but I don't think learning information was useful. The Technology and Science How strong China's econemy is, but they still aren' t able to use technology Education in schools5I enjoyed working with other people rather than working by myself
My favorite part was gathering information because I was learning about a lot of stuff My least favorite part was drawing I think it was hard cutting down information from the script Working together and all of us gave full effort Something that a group could do better next time is plan better if a group member were not to show upMeet due dates and having a plan so everyone gets everything done Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
35
1It was interesting to learn about.2I found it useful because half of my family is chinese. The most important thing was about the Chinese government. There are about 700 million people who worship or practice rituals for their ancestor's souls.1I liked being able to find facts and making a paper slide video thing. The best part was finding the interesting information. My least favorite part was narrating the project. The most challenging part was getting all the information. The biggest strength was teamwork. We needed better organization. When you make the video, it's not as bad as you think it is.Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)
36
2It was interesting to learn about how people in China have to live.2I found it useful to learn about China, because it taught me about the Chinese government and rules that the Chinese people have to follow. The most important thing that I learned about China was about how controlling the Chinese government actually is.The most surprising thing I learned was how the Chinese government kills their own people to have a strong economy and government.2It was fun to make the drawings, but took a lot of time to research China and make the script. My favorite part was doing the drawings. My least favorite part was researching and taking notes. The most challenging part was practicing to shoot the video. My group did best at finishing everything on time, working thoroughly, and working together. My group could do better at getting more specific facts, during the research. My advice for future students would be to practice reading your script or to be ready and know when to move the pictures, during the rehearsals and at home.Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
37
1It was interesting to learn about how China has changed over the years.1China is becoming a world superpower, so it is important to understand how it works. The most important thing I learned that many artifacts from China's past were destroyed by Mao in the Cultural Revolution. The most useful thing I learned about China is that fact that even tough Hong Kong is part of China, they are very different, and do not work together closely.1It was fun showing what we learned in a creative and different way.My favorite part was drawing the pictures and determining what pictures should go with what parts of the script. My least favorite part was the fact that the video had to be less than 3 minutes, and it was difficult to cut out information from the script. The most challenging part about completing the project was making sure that the video went as smoothly as possible. The biggest strength of my group was that we were always on schedule and never fell behind. Our group had the most room for improvement in the video, so next time we could rehearse the video more.I would tell them that they should rehearse the video as much as possible, and make sure not to draw too many pictures, because then it becomes difficult.Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)
38
2Because China's fovernment is quite unique and the treatment of workers was an interesting topic.2Yes, because it important to learn about the effects of communism and industrial growth on workers rights and what happened previously to cause China's government to know how other countries in Asia function as well. How China functions along with its allies, and how, even though it dislikes some of its allies, it needs to remain with them to avoid collapsing its economy, because this can be applied to other ideas as well.Something surprising was how the US previously didn't speak to China for quite awhile.2I enjoyed it because I am very interested in Human Rights and how it functions and is regarded in other countries. My favorite part was the drawing pictures and things that symbolize things in China. My least favorite part was writing the script. The most challenging part was handing things on while also reading the script. The biggest strength was the research and data. Our group can improve on the handing on and off of visual aids.Get backup websites in case you have the same as another group member.Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)
39
1I enjoyed learning about China by doing this project with other class mates as I learned a lot about my topic.3Sort of, knowing about their military was especially important I thought knowing that China's military is expanding in many ways.China's economy is very close to the state of America's economy.China tested nuclear a bombs very earlier as to when the technology actually came out.1It was useful as I learned much about different topics in the main topic and I now have a better understanding for technology and scientific advancements in the modern era?Learning about China's military.Needing to keep the video to 2-3 mins.Perfecting the script.Distributing the work between ourselves to balance to achieve our goal.Stage hand instructions.Distribute the work between yourselves fairly.Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)

2It was very interesting but each group learned a certain price but not the whole thing.2It is important to know about powerful countriesThat the Chinese culture is very diverse and has been around for over 4000 yearsThat 700 million Chinese citizens practice worshiping their ancestors souls1It was very fun and interestingWhen it was all over and realizing that I have learned a lotPresenting because I am very nervousGetting over my fear of speaking and presenting itOut teamwork because we worked very well togetherProbably in organization in the first section but after we were very organizedDon't be afraid and if you have good team cooperation you will do fineTime management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)

1Yes because I enjoyed learning about other people's topics about China2Yes because I think its good to learn about other people's culturesThat China is a communist country China limits what the people can watch in China2Yes because you got to choose a topic you would like to learn more aboutBeing to be in a group with your friendsRecording the project Making sure everyone has completed their goal so we would be ready for the next day
We communicated a lot and we help one another
Time mangementMake sure you do your part Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)

2I think its nice to learn about new places. 2Yes. China is most likely going to be a big deal when I graduate high school. Understanding how they work is pretty important so I know what's going on in the world.I think that their economic infrastructure was the most important thing I learnedThe most interesting thing I learned was the Maglev Train2I like working in a group more than individually for a project, and the project was definitely something I haven't done before. Getting the filming doneResearching the 10 factsGetting the websitesGetting the facts. We all had fairly good facts
Cutting down information on the script
Work with your groupCoaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
44
1I got a topic that's interesting to me1China is a big power especially in buisness so it is important to learn about itHow poorly workers are treated in factoriesA huge percentage of Chinese citizens work on less than $2 a day1It was fun to make because we got to get together in a group and make somethingDrawingScripting because we had to cut a lotCutting parts of the script Working together and getting things done on timescriptingDon't write way to much for the scriptTime management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)
45
3It was fun but not very useful.4Sort of, but I only learned about my project topic in depth. The Tiananmen Sqaure Massacre - it was a very important historical event. The most suprising thing was how little rights Chinese citizens receive from the government. 2It was a fun and interesting yet educational way to learn about something. The actual filming.Taking notes form the websites.Shortening the script - my group had a lot of important information and it was difficult to know what to cut out. Communication and cooperation.Finish the notes sooner so we could make the script sooner.Get your research done sooner than later so you have more time to make the script and pictures and still have rehearsal time.Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)
46
1Because the censorship history interests me 1It's good to learn about different cultures.Population because it impacts everything else How many people live in China 3Not everyone was cooperative in my group The reasearch Talking in the video Having everyone in the group on the same page Facts Meeting due dates Stay on task during classTime management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)
47
4It felt it was really boring. All I feel we did was the project and not enough raw learning.2I like to know what goes on in other countries.I liked the culture part of China. Not enough of it in the class.Hong Kong and China don't have different government.3I liked learning but it seemed to take up way to much of the China unit.Learning the culture That it took up a lot of the China unit.Nothing stands out for me that was challenging. Easy points and just simple and not complex enough. If there was something challenging it would be the stage hands. We were really on time and we actually were the first group to film.We numbered the pictures a little haphazard.Just stay on time and on targetčÄ»Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)
48
2I liked learning about how China culture operates and how it impacts the world.1I found it useful because China impacts the world heavily today. That the relationship is still tense between the citizens and the government. That the Chinese one baby law went on until recently.1It was a fun project.Finding out the information by ourselves and working with our group to put it all together. The drawing and coloring. The biggest challenge was writing the script. The biggest strength was gathering the information. On drawing more pictures.Get work done earlier if you can, because the more time you have to rehearse and get comfortable with your script makes the overall grade better.Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)
49
1it was fun learning about. It also links to politics quite well.1Politics. Their Economic affect on the U.S.their economic affect on the U.S.2slight conflicts between members in groups. great project.filming for some reason. I was so hyped.the fact that our script had doubles and I (being one of the people who puts pictures on the set) didn't know what to do.script editingthe pictures. I dedicated a lot of time drawing then.arguing. though it took very little time, I found it easier to change the subject to Politics for some reason to distract us from arguing. It worked well too.Don't let your group argue and make sure everyone knows there is no "1" leader. it's a group project.Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)

2It was interesting to learn about Chinese government and customs. 3I don't believe that it will be useful unless the US and China go to war. It will be useful if Hong Kong splits away from China because it will help us understand why Homg Komg did that. That China is communist That China never really had a scientific/economic revolution 3It was a lot of work. And the topic itself wasn't extremely interesting I like narrating the project because it helped me learn more about China's technology. The obtaining of facts and their organization It was hard to stay focused during class Our biggest strength was that we all knew what we had to doTime management Stay focused and don't be afraid to do work at home. Actually look at the advice Mr.mWalp shows youOrganization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
51
2It was the most interesting unit so far 2It was interesting learning about the environmental issues Because of over industrializing, China is becoming more and more polluted I knew that China was polluted, but I didn't know the severity of its pollution 1It was a really fun and creative way to learn about something I really liked my group The research was my least favorite part The research Making the script Making the pictures faster Work hard, and don't fool around during class time Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
52
3The topic was ok. It wasn't my favorite but it wasn't my least favorite 4I don't think I will use this knowledge in daily life. The environmental problems they have. How bad th pollution there was.2This was a fun project for school. The best part was probably filming. The research. The most challenging part was probably making the script. We worked together good which made our work better and took less time.I think we could of improved on our pictures.Make sure your ahead of everyone so you have more time to make pictures.Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)
53
4I liked it because I take Chinese and was interesting5I learned alot more about Tiananmen squareThat the tank man was never found after the accident that happened The government doesn't tries to hide what happened in Tiananmen sqaure3It was ok but would have liked the project to be more like the Vietnam war oneMaking the pictures The script and make sure when to put the pictures NothingWe did best probably with our picturesPutting on the pictures woul have been better Use your time wisely Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)
54
2I had learned about the history of China before and it was intresting learning about a more modern China. 2It's important to learn about other parts of our worlds besides the USAThat there really isn't much being done to help the people in China they say they are doing stuff but it just gets blown off and never done. That one parent has to be an only for a family to have kids1It was a new and fun way of learning about chinaWe got to work together as a groupWe didn't use most of our research in our projectFinding the factsWorking together and communicating NothingFinish all of your work on timeClear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
55
1I did nit know much about it.1It gave me awareness of thing that I did not know aboutThat the Chinas government is trying to stop indoor and outdoor air pollutionHow much air pollution is in China1It was funLearning about ChinaWorking on the cromebooks Moving the drawings in timeBeing efficiency Not much we where good on every thingFinish your research on time.Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
56
1I didn't know a lot about China, so it was interesting to know stuff about it 2I think it's important to know about other placesI think learning about the economy. I didn't know anything about the economy. The most surprising thing is how much pollution is in China. I knew it was bad, but I didn't know it was that bad.2I liked to learn about the topic given to my group The drawing Writing notes for the research Doing the research We weren't behindThe group sort of researched similar things, such as a lot of air pollution. Maybe we should of had less people doing the same thing.Don't get behind Time management (i.e., set appropriate time deadlines, helped you to stay on track for deadlines)Research (e.g., search term list, how to evaluate a webpage, etc.)
57
4I liked learning about human rights and factory conditions 5I now have a sense of what's going on in the world Human Rights Econmy 5It was a fun way to be graded instead of a test Finding the websites Writing the script Organizing everything g Writing the facts Script Choose the topic YOU want Director (i.e., helped you to develop the look and feel of your video)Organization (e.g., Google docs, classroom space, storage of pictures, etc.)
58
1The way that we learned it in the project2It helps understand other problems in the worldThat how people don't get the rights that USA people doThe censorship on the Internet 1It was not very difficult and it was a better way than taking a test in my opinion Picking what pictures to useWriting the script outGetting the facts from the websitesGetting all our stuff done on timePutting more detail into our facts which would've helped our script.Finish stuff on time and don't get behind because it effects everything Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)
59
1It is fun to learn about a country that we see products from but we don't really know about it and they have a rich and old culture.1It would be useful if I go to ChinaMore about how it is over there on a regular dayMore about the government3I enjoyed it but felt like I did most of the work for my group.Outing the actual videoWriting the script. I wrote most of the script and tried when I was writing it to get my group to write more than a couple sentances in the script in total but they never really did anything.Getting my group to get to the point where everyone else was. We were behind on the research, facts, and the script. I was ahead on the reasearch and then was the first to fininsh the facts and first to work on the script. While I was ahead the other groups were at the same point as me or ahead of me.Pictures and end performance. Even thought it was tough to get my group to the picture and performance of shooting the video parts, they worked harder once they got there.Finishing on par with other groups and working together as group/team more.Overly encourage your groups to do work if they are not doing very much.Clear goals (i.e., explained what was expected of you for the project)Coaching (i.e., helped you to solve a problem, helped your group to solve interpersonal issues)
