STEPS for Teachers to Book an Event with CWSSTEPS for CWS

1) Teacher should review tab "Current CWS Unavailable Dates" firstCWS will maintain the tab sharing unavailable dates through the school year

2) Teacher to post their preferred date and time on the 2026-2027 School Bookings tab. CWS will immediately receive the booking to review for availability.
CWS will mark a "Yes" in BLUE in the Confirmed Column

3) Teacher will need to share their Name, email, mobile phone, class grade(s), and topic/logisticsCWS will communicate via email with the teacher and only use mobile cell if required

CWS to email teacher directly should we have questions on the topic of choice etc.

CWS to confirm via email with teacher a week out from the event

Pick a Topic from the following:CWS can cover topics with Q&A easily within an hour or can be prepared to expand the topic to fit a longer session.

CWS Water Cycle: Source water to wastewater beling relased into the environment - Tailored grade level; (K-12)
CWS can offer the Water Life Cycle for younger children to include a 15 minute fun story reading time on water or wastewater

Hot Topics, such as PFAS, Lead, expanding regulations (Grades 9-12)CWS is able to provide up to two sessions per day. Exeptions will be considered based on availability.

Session on careers at CWS with a high school diplomq (Grades 11-12)CWS will make it interactive, provide fun giveaways for the students; teacher will receive a "thank you" swag box

Session on careers at CWS with a college degaree (Grades 11-12)

Session on Careers with a HS diploma and with a college degree (Grades 7 - 12)

Participate in your school career day/job fair

Read a Book (water related) - Could be through the school librarian or through Read Across America

Teachers can suggest a speicif topic for consideration.

Touch-a-Truck EventFor Touch-a-Truck events, CWS would coordinate internally to ensure the truck is available and not needed in the field.

Water Crisis - Fits into the spring Earth Day talking about water challenges in the local area
