Information and Instructions for students seeking a Writing Center appointment

The Writing Center will be open from Tuesday, Jan. 17 - Thursday, Jan. 19 (Week 2 of the semester) on a temporary schedule. During this time, students will sign up for conferences electronically through this Google Drive Document instead of through TutorTrac.

The schedule for Week 2 is on the following three tabs of this document. Note that to see the entire schedule for a given day, you will need to scroll to the right. To sign up for an appointment, find an appointment day and time where a Writing Fellow is offering an available appointment. If you do not see a Writing Fellow's name in the ""WF"" column, then no appointment is available at that day/time/room combination.

Type your name in the ""Student"" column next to your chosen appointment timeslot. If another student's name is already written in the field of your preferred appointment, you must find another available appointment time. Deleting other students' names is prohibited.

Make a note of the day, time, and room number of your chosen appointment. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A REMINDER! If you need to cancel an appointment, please revisit this page and delete your own name from the document to free the slot up for someone else.

If you want your Writing Fellow to read your draft in advance, you must email your draft to your Writing Fellow at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment. Include an agenda of what you are most seeking feedback on. If your draft is more than 15 pages in length, indicate which 15-page excerpt you want the Writing Fellow to focus on.

Note: You are limited to ONE scheduled appointment in any 7-day period, but you can "walk in" to any available appointment without a reservation as often as you would like.
