Akron School of Law"For undergraduates in select programs, you can earn your bachelor’s and law degrees in six years instead of seven. To complete law school, you typically need four years to complete a bachelor’s degree and three years to complete a law degree (juris doctor degree)."

The Honors to Law Program is a program designed to attract a talented pool of University of Akron Honors College students to remain at the University for law school by offering presumptive admission to the School of Law based upon specified entering credentials and undergraduate academic performance. In order to be presumptively admitted to The University of Akron School of Law, Honors to Law students must meet certain law school admissions criteria, including certain LSAT and GPA requirements.

Honors to Law students are expected to be involved in the School of Law community as undergraduate students. Students may become involved in numerous ways, including:

* Mentoring by law students
* Advising by Law Admissions and Law Career Planning and Placement
* Participating in law student organization meetings and programs such as brown bag luncheons, academic events, and social events
* Visiting a law school class
* Receiving emails from the law school about events and programs

Not found"To pursue this joint degree program, the student must be admitted to the School of Law and the Graduate School for the College of Business Administration.

Most law students apply for admission to a joint degree program during the summer before the first year of law school or during the fall semester of the first year of law school. In order to apply, the student must fill out a joint degree program application, as well as an application to the graduate department offering the joint degree (here, the College of Business Administration). Generally speaking, the earlier a student applies for a joint degree program, the better his or her chances are to receive a graduate assistantship, which can pay for up to full tuition and fees for the remainder of the joint degree program past the first year of law school."

https://www.uakron.edu/law/curriculum/joint.dot#structure
"A joint degree program allows a student to obtain a J.D. and a master’s degree at the same time. Joint degree programs save students time and money due to credit transfer agreements between the law school and the graduate school." "Joint degree programs typically require year-round attendance and add a semester on to the standard J.D. course of study. For example, a full-time student pursuing a joint degree would likely take three and a half years of year-round study to complete both programs, as opposed to three years with summers off for the J.D. program alone."

Albany Law School"The Union College-Albany Law School combined program allows students to complete a full Union B.S. or B.A. degree in three years and subsequently progress to Albany Law School. The program provides opportunities to earn undergraduate credit through law-related internships and participate as undergraduates in Albany Law School activities designed for combined degree program students. Students in this program, who will be known as Law Scholars, will be admitted to Albany Law School early (upon admission to Union) with entry to law school contingent on their undergraduate GPA, but not their LSAT score. Students are still required to take the LSAT prior to matriculation at Albany Law School, with high scores providing access to scholarship opportunities."

"Admission to the program is competitive. The successful applicant:

* Ranks in the top 10 percent of their class (if the school uses class rank)
* Has SAT test scores of at least 1290 or an ACT score at or above a 28"

"Students will stay in the program by maintaining a 3.4 GPA. Students have the option of spending four years at Union, should they choose to do so."

Students admitted to the program will be guaranteed admission to Albany Law School upon attainment of their bachelor’s degree provided they have satisfied the criteria specified for remaining in the program. "The accelerated 2-year degree is competitive program for highly motivated students to earn a law degree in two years, eliminating tuition costs for the third year. Along with saving a year of tuition, another major advantage of graduating in two years-rather than the typical three- includes entering the workforce sooner."

"Albany Law School, in conjunction with area colleges in the Capital District, offers several dual degree programs. These programs provide students with a rich educational experience and a broad range of professional opportunities while allowing students to complete two degrees in four years of full-time study."

Students earning dual degrees spend their first year at Albany Law School. The arrangement of the remaining three years is flexible. Students wishing to enroll in a dual degree program must meet the admissions requirements of each school.

Students in dual-degree programs must earn 87 credits to receive the JD degree. In most programs a maximum of 12 credits earned at the Masters institution may count toward the 87 required credits. This maximum means that students in most programs must earn 75 credits at Albany Law School to obtain both degrees

American University Washington College of LawNot FoundNot FoundNot FoundThe JD/MBA program at provides an excellent opportunity for students who desire to combine skills and develop expertise in both law and business. This program adequately prepares students for virtually any career in either arena, providing students with a unique lens to look at the world through. With the JD/MBA, students are equipped to analyze issues meticulously like a lawyer, as well as approach problems strategically from a business view.

Because some courses can be counted toward both degrees, you can finish the two degrees in less time than it would take to earn them individually. The JD/MBA degree can be completed in four years. JD/MBA students are enrolled in both the Washington College of Law and the Kogod School of Business at American University.

Appalachian School of LawNot FoundNot FoundNot FoundNot Found"Appalachian School of Law accepts candidates who will benefit from a challenging curriculum in a collegial environment, whom we believe will be successful, and whom we believe will pass the bar exam of their choice.
There is no application fee, but the application is accessed only through the Law School Admissions Council. Interested candidates must obtain an account through LSAC; all documents supporting the application must be submitted for verification through this same entity which compiles what is known as the Credential Assembly Service (CAS)

First year students take the traditional courses required by most law schools including Torts, Property, Civil Procedure, Criminal Law, and Contracts. Students also take a dedicated course in academic support designed to get new law students familiar with the unique challenges of law school. Since the transition to law school can be stressful, ASL does not rank or grade first year students. Instead, the competition is between students and their course material, not their classmates.

In the summer between their first and second years, all students participate in a credit earning legal externship. The externship provides an early opportunity to gain hands on experience and to increase students’ practical understanding of the law.

Second year students continue the core legal curriculum with a focus on the subjects tested on most state bar exams, including Criminal Procedure, Constitutional Law, and Professional Responsibility.

Third year students continue to take some required courses in the core curriculum, such as Family Law, but also have the opportunity to take electives and seminars in the areas of the law that interest them most. Practicum courses, designed to give students practical experience in specific areas of the law, are also commonly taken during the third year. For instance, Trial Advocacy, a popular practicum, gives students a chance to develop and practice real litigation skills and can lead to membership on one of ASL’s award winning Trial Advocacy teams.

All third year students also take Bar Preparation, a semester long course that offers a review of the subjects covered on the Multistate Bar Examination and various state bar examinations. The course includes diagnostic and practice examinations with individual scoring and feedback.

"You can earn your law degree in two years – without sacrificing Drexel University’s signature approach to hands-on education that prepares you for legal practice. It all depends on how ready you are to focus on school and get to work – practicing law. Here’s how it works. Fast Forward students complete the same number of credit hours as those in the traditional three-year program. The big difference? You start sooner – with a summer term – and complete the program in two years rather than three. You’ll have the same courses, professors, electives, and opportunities (for co-op, clinics, Trial Team, Law Review, etc.) in both the 2-year and 3-year programs. The difference? You’ll be doing it in fast-forward.
Is Fast Forward for everyone? No, it isn’t. But if you bring solid academic credentials, a readiness to buckle down and a desire to start your career early, Fast Forward just might be your speed."
