Akron School of Law"The University of Akron is moving forward with a new 3+3 Bachelor of Arts/ Juris Doctor (B.A./J.D.) Joint Degree Program with UA's School of Law and the Dpartment of Political Science in the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences, starting this fall. Geared for high-achieving students, the program can save students the cost of a full year's tuition by awarding both a bachelor's and law degree in six years instead of seven years typically necessary to complete their undergraduate degree (four years and Juris doctor degree (three years).

This 3+3 degree option is unique becuase it combines two nationally recognized programs and provides students the opportunity to take advantage of both in an affordable and career-enhancing way."

"The Honors to Law Program is a program designed to attract a talented pool of University of Akron students who may also be racially and/or economically diverse to remain at the University for law school by offering presumptive admission to the School of Law based upon specified entering credentials and undergraduate academic performance. Presumptive admission is offered when the student matriculates into the University of Akron as an undergraduate student."

"Joint degree programs typically require year-round attendance and add a semester on to the standard J.D. course of study. For example, a
full-time student pursuing a joint degree would likely take three and a half years of year-round study to complete both programs, as opposed to
three years with summers off for the J.D. program alone."

"A joint degree program allows a student to obtain a J.D. and a master’s degree at the same time. Joint degree programs save students time and money due to credit transfer agreements between the law school and the graduate school."

"Sienna College and Albany Law School have cooperated in establishing a 4/3 Early Admission Program that will accept applications from students either prior to the start of the freshamn year or after the freshman year. Students admitted to the program will be guaranteed admission to Albany Law School upon attainment of their bachelor's degree provided they have satisfied the criteria specified for remaining in the program. Acceptance is contingent upon stuents maintaining a 3.2 GPA during the first three years and a 3.3 cumulative GPA by the end of the senior year. Students must meet the median LSAT score of the previos year's entering class."

"The accelerated 2-year degree is competitive program for highly motivated students to earn a law degree in two years, eliminating tuition costs for the third year. Along with saving a year of tuition, another major advantage of graduating in two years-rather than the typical three- includes entering the workforce sooner.

Students have the option of starting in January and after 24 months of intensive study, sit for the February bar exam; or students can begin school in May 2017 and sit for the bar exam in July 2019. Individuals accepted into the program will take courses over two summer terms to meet the required total of 87 credits for graduation (tuition costs cover summer classes)."
