Spreadsheet Method:
11
First, CSV data were downloaded from Baseball Reference (2018 MLB Pitching Basic) and Baseball Prospectus (Individual by Team)
12
Data were cleaned by pairing team names to allow for data to be joined between spreadsheets. Baseball Reference park factors and League run environments were added.
13
Runs Prevented figures were calculated against Multi-Year Park Factors (B R), Single Year Factors (B R), Baseball Prospectuis PPF, basic MLB run environment, and DRA.
14
15
Most importantly, the average Runs Prevented and standard deviation Runs Prevented figures were calculated.
16
17
Once these analyses were complete, individual player ranking and team ranking worksheets could be created. These are the worksheets that appear in this spreadsheet.

Team Analysis Worksheet
20
This worksheet sorts individual players by runs prevented by team, and also summarizes individual runs prevented per team (sorted by Direction). This should not be construed as the same thing as basic, overall team Runs Prevented.
21
This worksheet is sorted according to Runs Prevented improvement (or decline) since September 9.
22
Key stats: Standard deviation (Prv_StDv), average runs prevented (Prv_Avg), and DRA runs prevented (DRA_Prv). Comparing DRA and RA can also provide a potential "Direction of Change" metric (Direction)
23
24
Change
This new worksheet calculates the absolute value change throughout the season, and averages Runs Prevented across the entire season for an "average" overall performance.
25
26
Rank
27
This worksheet ranks every MLB player, including the range of variance among Runs Prevented measurements (Low_Prv, High_Prv), as well as a direction of change stat (Direction) and the difference in pace between various rankings from May onward. Sorted by Average Runs Prevented.
28
29
Brewers Worksheet: This is a worksheet that simply includes the Brewers. It is sorted by overall average Runs Prevented for the season.
30
31
Comp
These worksheets are comparisons to May 31, July 1, July 22, August 11, August 24, and September 9 worksheets
