4/28/2025 17:42:18president@nedistrict.orgBangor, ME - Mainely Music Chorus3/10/2025Chapter Meeting20-ishI was there to promote HXNE-MaineI was well received by the President, Wayne Leighton and the Director Norman Springer. Rehearsal was energetic. They have a lot of female members now. They are quite short on basses. The music program was aggressive and everyone seemed to have fun. The chapter quartet UpTempo sang. They do wrap up early and have no afterglow activities.

4/28/2025 17:46:15President@nedistrict.orgBrunswick, ME - Nor'easters3/11/2025Regular Chapter Meeting12 or soI went top promote HXNE. I had dinner before the meeting Kathy (Director) and many of the chapter members. Zeke (President) welcomed me at the hall after they had a board meeting. Everyone was very friendly. I brought my quartet along to add to the fun. The chorus enjoyed tag singing and polecat singing with IT after the rehearsal. They are a small bunch, but they sang a wide variety of music. Everyone seems pretty happy with their experience.

4/28/2025 17:52:06President@nedistrict.orgBeverly, MA - Northshoremen4/16/2025Beverly Bash Interchapter125-175?This event was planned with a very short advance window. If the Northshoremen were to plan further ahead, perhaps we could promote it with them. This was a good time. There was a performance by a high school vocal group and then a parade of choruses and quartets. The venue was excellent for a show. It was an enjoyable evening and they raised $600 for HXNE. Board members Mike Savard, Dick Arscott, and John Englander were also present.

Both chapters were well represented NoneBoth chapters were very upbeat after the convention weekend. Both choruses improved significantly. There were several quartets that performed. There were several new prospective members in the building. All were in their 20s. A few of them had learned about barbershop on YouTube and were participating in their first ever chapter meeting. The chapter provided refreshments and seemed very healthy, although small.

Some younger! They felt good about their show according to Peter Bloomfield. Eric Ruthenberg had to fill in on lead for Catalyst because George was sick!
