1) Hosting preps for career fairs/interviews (begin with a general presentation from a speaker and answering our questions, then potentially move on to trying a set of mock interview questions to get used to thinking through the problem outloud and articulating ourselves well)
2) Having a resumer/linkedin bootcamp where an "expert" on the subject can give you one-on-one critiques
3) Releasing any interesting career opportunities they hear of
4) Hosting a career fair
5) Having a list of upper years (who volunteer) that contains their email, the companies they have worked at, and what team/project they were on at each placement. This means less experienced students aspiring to work at the same company or on a similar team/project can have the opportunity to get specific questions answered that may come up, hear more about their experience and get some more personal/specific advice.

The CS community at U of T is saturated with skilled programmers, software designers, as well as engineers. For beginners such as myself, there is no team or project guidance.

PROFESSIONAL/PERSONAL
- more company-sponsored CSSU events like Microsoft game nights, UofT hackathons
- mental health resources for CS students (CS tends to be stressful sometimes)
- more CSSU social events (like semi-formal dinners, game nights)

ACADEMICS
- an enriched intro to CS course (i.e. enriched CSC148, CSC207, CSC209) -- I notice that a lot of incoming CS students already have prior experience in some programming language (e.g. Java, C, Visual Basic, etc.)
- the CS department should offer a course dedicated to professional development (a class dedicated to resume creation, technical interviews, public speaking, communication), I like how CSC301 is arranged (software engineering projects)
- increase the CS department funding so that it can hire high-quality professors, increase capacity for the CS PoST to keep up with the rising popularity of CS/SE, and keep the CS PoST cutoff from rising above an 85%.
- alternatively, holding first year CS courses (CSC108 and CSC148) in large lecture halls (e.g. Con Hall, Isabel Bader Theatre) would signifcantly reduce the size of waitlists, and allow students in other departments (e.g. Stats, Acturial Science, etc.) to complete CSC108/CSC148 for their respective program.
- a positive psychology course for CS students, analogous to the one offered in the Faculty of Engineering (eh, why not?)

Honestly haven't started looking yet. But when I do start it'll be CLN and career fairs

Just give you a platform to showcase your projects. And most importantly (in my opinion) have a fb group chat or something where ppl with ideas can find ppl who want to work on that idea so that it's easier to build projects. That's one reason many ideas go undone.
