Went loci by loci, admiring the experience and sometimes imagining multiple scenes for the same group of numbers. I chose 102 digits to memorize because it seemed like a good amount. At the end, I got through them in the precise amount of time. I probably could have memorized many more digits. It was much more fun than it used to be in the past.
I forgot 873 because I couldn't recall what Slinky was doing in the first locus. It was also difficult to remember the last object. It feels like I have the opposite of the primacy and recency effect, lol. I also took very long to form the images. I should imagine just once and move on.
I am going to move faster by not imagining two different interactions: just go with the first association in your head.

I memorized one name per locus. I imagined the person from the picture inside the locus, imagined one image for the first name, and another for the surname. It was VERY difficult to come up with images for those names. I would have done better by simply doing brute force instead, lol. I noticed that I hate names & faces, but this only shows that that's probably the most important discipline for me to practice.
I couldn't recall that "Eric" actually encoded Erwijn, "Cria" encoded Krywosz, "Yoda" encoded Yashoda, and "Bass" encoded Bazolo
I'll keep memorizing one name per locus. For difficult ones, I'll break them down into two. Therefore, my method for the tough ones will be: the person from the picture interacting with four other images. This still doesn't sound very good though because it seems to generate too many images per locus.

When I tried to turn the second word into an object and the first into an action, I ended up missing the order. I also confused one word because the image wasn't close enough to the word.
For now, I'm gonna stick to always turning the first word into a person/object. I also should try to think of better images, and if I can't think of one close enough, then make two.

I took long to recall that 159 was Odalia Blight, and I also made a mistake when decoding which made me swap the suits and miss one pair of cairds. I believe this is especially problematic with picture cards. I was also trying to decode the cards as I looked for them, but I think this is too confusing.
I should spend the whole decoding time instead of trying to finish as soon as possible. Also, I'll need to practice decoding a lot on Anki. When decoding picture cards, I have to pay attention to the picture card's position as soon as possible as well. The best thing I could do is try to decode the whole pair in my head before picking it.

I tried to go as fast as possible, and I did end up passing through all the numbers.
I couldn't recall some images. They were just blank, like a specific person doing "something" or "someone" doing something to a specific object.
I noticed that the forgotten pegs were usually the ones that had the least processing during the visualization. They were the ones I thought very little about and that the action had little or nothing to do with them. I also noticed that imagining the person doing an action to itself in the locus tended to me more memorable if I made sure to leave the character's essence there, like some trait of the character must be used to determine the action.

When I created each image, I tried to find what I could forget about that name, and I focused on that aspect of the name, sometimes adding a modifier to remember it. This didn't feel as hard as it felt at first. The first review as an active one (hiding and trying to recall). The second one was just me reading all the words.
I confused "Yamamura" with "Yamumura."

Just like I noticed for names and faces, I should read the first and the second words as one long word. That is, before creating the image, I should read both first. Until now, I haven't thought of improving my visualization skills, but I think that I've been forgetting many pegs because they were out of focus when I imagined them (I noticed this because I often forget one but not the neighbor peg). I didn't even have time to memorize the last name, so I tried to go with brute force. I noticed that my performance fell drastically when compared with my last session, was it because of my break?
I forgot most scenes, and I didn't try to visualize more vividly. I forgot even the name that I tried to memorize through brute force.
Okay, forget about reading the first and second names together. They can't be joined. Also, don't forget to visualize vividly and add details. I think I should start looking for creating a database of name parts for international names because a bunch of them are only troublesome because I can't think of any word that contains those strange syllables.

This time, when decoding, I decided to recall all the code triples first. This made me go through all loci first. This seems to be a great strategy for all disciplines because this is a type of decoding habit that improves accuracy, so I'll start decoding by first recalling one thing from all loci: the first card, the first digit, the triple code, the first name, the first word, etc. When I couldn't recall an image from my 3-digit list, I imagined the ones from my 2-digit one. I didn't have time to see the digits after the first 180 because of the time I wasted on the images I couldn't recall from my 3-digit list.

Reviewing is extremely useless because it is never active recall, just rereading, so if you have time left, go back to the loci and try to visualize them better. Also, having very vivid loci didn't help at all, which proves one of my hypothesis: it's the connection between the pegs in the locus that makes it memorable, not the resolution of the mental image at the moment of encoding.

Most of my mistakes come from misspellings. I just had an idea!!! When I come up with the words, I should find the pegs by thinking of something that has a similar pronunciation, not a similar look! I need to SAY the names in my head. Read the syllables as if they were words in a book. For tough names/surnames, I should find one peg that starts with the first syllable and another peg that starts with the second syllable. If I can't think of one, then I could at least use the phonetic consonant pair, like "jef" to encode "jev." As an example, "Haines" is "Hi, Ness!" while "heini" is "Rei nitrogenado" or anything starting with "ni." "Emelina" would be "M linda," like a beautiful female M&M character. Forget the third name/surname's syllable. Focus on creating pegs for the first and second syllables through pronunciation.

I went a little bit slowly, so I didn't have time to look at the last 60 binary digits.
Except for going slowly, I didn't make any mistake! I recalled all pegs accurately and easily.
I think I should use a metronome to force myself to go faster!

I used a metronome this time at 6bpm. It felt very fast although it seems slow from an external viewpoint.
I couldn't recall a bunch of people, but that was because most of those scenes didn't have intra-connection: the action was connected to the locus, not the person
Keep using a metronome and try to make the object connect to the person instead of the locus

I applied the method of trying to read the names and picking images that had the same syllables. This worked VERY well. This was the first time that I did well in names and faces just after a break!
I couldn't recall one individual name, and the rest was just misspelling
I believe all of my difficulty is that many of those syllables don't exist in Portuguese or in English, so I don't know any examples of them. I should create a database of foreign syllables! I've finally found the solution to names and faces!!!

Okay, I think I should step back, and then move forward. Using auto advance is very useful indeed. I'm going to decrease the number of cards to 16 again, and try until I get it >90% right.

I used a metronome, but it was difficult to follow its rhythm. I didn't get through all words. Also, most of the pegs were associated with each other instead of to the locus.
I missed a BUNCH of words: 16 pegs in total! The loci were totally blank
I just formulated a hyphothesis for why I'm forgetting the pegs in my words discipline: intra-connectivity is more powerful in numbers and binary because there's more processing to formulate the images. However, for words, there's no system whatsoever, and therefore the connection with locus is more important. This would explain why POP sucks for numbers, but is wonderful for binary. Moreover, it's probably set the metronome to beat every locus, not every peg

I grabbed the last 12 digits and used a metronome at 6 bpm
I couldn't recall a bunch of images from my 3-digit system, so I used their counterparts. I also forgot 9 pegs for some reason.
Okay, I was right: I need to review all images from my 3-digit system alike. I'm going to start building filtered decks at 0.8 sec of auto advance. It would take about half an hour to go through all 2222 images. Taking into consideration the delay because of the mistakes, then it's probably gonna take one hour, so I'll divide this practice into three, so that it takes about 20 min every day.

This one was very interesting. It did indeed go better than the last one.
I only made spelling mistakes and forgot 3 pegs.
I noticed that the forgotten pegs were the first words, and that they didn't interact with the locus. Maybe the best possible scenes, for any discipline, are those that have high intra-interactivity AND high locus-interactivity!

I recalled ALL pegs!!!! I didn't go through all digits because of lack of time, but I went through 252, and I recalled all the pegs correctly
I was struggling with a few digits during encoding. I was forgetting many code triples and needed to come back. I made 6 conversion mistakes/misreadings in total.
I used to convert the binary code by mentally noting "person/object only in the beginning/middle/end" or "only people/objects" This was very useful. For some reason, I stopped doing that and was trying to hold in my memory the whole 3-peg sequence, which is dumb since it requires more resources from the working-memory. I need to come back to that strategy. It was less demanding. If I solve this problem, I won't waste time checking, so I'll go much faster.

What about testing the immersive memory palace method with words? It's much faster, and it may help me develop better intra-connectivity AND inter-connectivity (connection between pegs and locus)

I shouldn't review because I'm still forgetting words among the reviewed ones. Next time, try to connect the peg to the locus a little bit more and continue to use the immersive memory palace method. Let's define: marble is the thinker sculpture, column is a column, statue is the statue of liberty.

I couldn't recall a bunch of pegs. Also, I memorized 761 as Kitajima (716).
Okay, I changed my mind. Having a strong connection between the scene and the locus seems more important. Without it, it's almost impossible to remember the scene. If there's a connection, it's much easier. The hard part is the person: there is no way to recall it if it isn't already there. Next time, I'm going to try to choose the action based on the person by determining it before even picking the object.

Continue to use this code triple strategy. Let's just keep going. I'm suspecting that my worse performance may be caused by the breaks I took this week. I practiced for 2 days, then took a break, then practiced for other 2 days, and took another break. Maybe the best interval would be taking a break after 4 days of practice.
