Ishikawa is a beautiful prefecture that has a lot to offer in terms of entertainment and sightseeing.

Kanazawa aside, simply traveling by train to go to Takayama is an amazing experience. The mountain landscape with the river is great and the city itself is enchanting. Shirakawa go is beautiful as well. Unfortunately, I hoped in a more fresh september and I must admit that Japan humidity and heavy heat ruined the experience, although only very slightly.

Beautiful area with many old traditions and crafts being preserved.

There is a lot packed into a small area. It is very accessible, but not as full on as Japan. Kanagawa is a wonderful, rich city.

We did not have a lot of time to spend in this prefecture and only could visit the higashi chaya district and surrounding area.

We did not experience any difficulties. We rented a car so transportation went smoothly except for finding reasonably priced parking lots.

This area is nice because it is easy access to the historic area as well as the city. We were in Takayama prior to coming to Kanazawa and everything closed so early. it is nice to easily find malls and eateries open after 7pm.
