We embarked upon a journey to create something that matters to us and many other parents. A company that provides tools for the parents of special needs children. I began my IT and electronics in the US Air Force 10 years ago. During my time in the Air Force I enjoyed traveling to many places with my wife and 3 sons, including living in Portugal for two years, visiting, Spain and Germany. I have 3 sons ages 10, 9 and 8, my 9 year was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3. We were glad and lucky to find out early, since then we've had many adventures. He is the inspiration for this company. I began making apps to assist my son, and later thought that, other parents may find these tools useful for special needs children. The first app created was our Go To Zoo, which I made when I initially moved to the Tampa area in order to prepare my son for our trip to Busch Gardens Safari.
Since then the popularity of this application along with others has continued to rise and Live 2 Learn Differently has become a staple in the autism community. Not only are the company’s apps featured in the android marketplace, but they are also on the Autism Speaks website. The apps have since been used by the ABA Academy in Sarasota along with many other parents and teachers of children with special needs. This company is especially important as it is pioneering the combination of teaching methods, applied behavior analysis and verbal behavior therapy into technology that the next generation will use for years to come. Given the disparity in care and access that children in the black and latino community have when it comes to educating special needs children this type of impact is major.
Recently the company has embarked upon the building of “stim” covers for children with autism and special needs. These covers are made of material soothing to the sensory sensitivities of children with autism and other special needs.

In 1988, Roy Clay became the first African-American member of the Olympic Club. The Olympic Club hosted the 1955, 1966, 1987, 1998, and 2012 U.S. Opens, as well as the 1958, 1981, and 2007 U.S. Amateur tournaments. And Clay - who had been an accomplished amateur competitor in the areas of golf, baseball, bowling, and billiards himself - eventually served as club president at one point as well. The Olympic Club is America's oldest athletic club and it is an iconic powerhouse in multiple amateur sports.

In 1999, Roy Clay founded the Virginia Clay / Unity Care Annual Golf Classic to honor his wife's memory and to promote success for young minorities. Much of the proceeds from the tournament help fund the Unity Care Group's Pre-College Minority Engineering program, which is a program that encourages young minorities to design and build technology projects.

In 2003, Roy Clay was inducted into the Silicon Valley Engineering Council’s Hall of Fame, where he was honored for his pioneering professional accomplishments alongside such luminaries as Bill Hewlett and David Packard of HP and Robert Noyce the co-founder of Intel.

And for over 35 years, Roy Clay served as a leader in community organizations that help improve quality of life for many, such as the Girls' Club of the Mid Peninsula, which provides a safe place for girls to reach their full potential as caring and productive citizens, and OICW (now JobTrain) which helps transform personal motivations into marketable skills that foster higher self-sufficiency and self-esteem.
