Open Data policy checklist
2
3
The open data policy checklist is a way for any organisation to self-assess how comprehensive their open data policy is, and identify areas for improvement.
4
5
The checklist was created by crowdsourcing and comparing best practice from open data policies around the world. It covers 9 themes. Each theme represents a broad area of open data practice within an organisation. Each theme is then broken into a series of sub-questions, which can then be used for policy managers or researchers to analyse their organisation's open data policy and prioritise improvements. It can also be used as a comparitive tool- to assess and compare different open data policies side by side to understand areas of commonality and difference.
