Hydroplate TheoryVapor

Catastrophic Plate Tectonics
5
No "It was good" on Day 2 (because raqia was unfinished; see note #2)
6
The dry land finished the crust process from Day 2, then "It was good"
7
Firmament 'OF THE HEAVENS' in each of the last four Gen 1 references
8
Raqia (firmament) means "plate" (#3)The video avaialable at rsr.org/hpt discusses this chart.
9

God laid out (raqa) the earth above the waters Ps 136:6
11
God raqa the Earth, i.e., put a plate, a raqia, above the waters

13
Earth founded upon the seas, established upon waters Ps 24:1-2
14

26
Sun, moon, stars GOOD timekeepers for seasons, days & years Gen 1:14
27
Earth tottered like a drunkard
28

THE ABOVE IS VALID IF raqia refers both to Earth's crust and to sky/space.

1. In the 1600-page Flood Science Review, each model begins with a Biblical Support section. The above chart is based on the scriptures presented there. Dr. John Baumgardner for CPT lists on pages 61-62 almost no Scripture, and none as uniquely supportive of Catastrophic Plate Tectonics. Dr. Larry Vardiman for the VCT lists on pages 544-546 the two passages marked above. Other models not listed above present little in the way of specifically supportive scripture, including the Impact Model which claims thousands of asteroid strikes produced the flood, for which Dr. Michael Oard begins, "There is very little information on the events that initiated the Flood in the Bible." Heavily contrasting with the other flood models, on pages 326-329 of the Flood Science Review, Dr. Walt Brown presents more than a dozen passages that appear to be specifically and uniquely supportive of the details of the hydroplate theory. Dr. Brown lists many more passages in his book, "In the Beginning".

2. God's forming the raqia/firmament/crust of the Earth occurred over two days and was completed on Day 3. Thus when God did not say, "It was good" on Day 2, this was not an oversight nor a quirky deviation from the pattern of the creation account. Rather, God did not say that, "It was good" until that process of making the crust of the Earth (with it's "pillars", i.e., the foundations of the eart), completed. With the Earth's crust now readied for mankind's paradise (i.e., for the Lord's "kingdom of heaven on earth"), then on Day 3 God created plant life, and so said a second time on that day that, "It was good."

3. That raqia means "plate" is supportive of the HydroPLATE theory but not CPT because where the Bible teaches that the waters below the raqia were divided from the waters above, the CPT authors reject this as a reference to crustal plates.

“Seas” embraces more than the waters upon the face of the earth; it includes also the (supposed) subterranean waters upon which the earth was believed to rest ... and the circumfluent ocean, upon which the pillars of the firmament stood. Interpreter's Bible, note at Gen. 1:10
45
Regarding the earth's "pillars", see:http://www.creationscience.com/onlinebook/FAQ27.html
46
On Gen 1:8, one inch above the ground is "heaven", as was earth, see:http://rsr.org/firmament

THIS CHART BELOW IS VALID IF raqia refers ONLY to sky/space:

For this chart (immediately above), Gen. 1:7 is shown as supportive of the Canopy Theory, and all the passages listed above referring to the Earth and raqa/raqia are removed.
