If you create a smart computer group that returns last check-in, all computers list a time. However, for many of these computer records, when going to the individual record, no last check-in time is listed. Workaround is to use an advanced search.

In Casper Imaging, when you use the "Sites" button to assign computer to a site and press "Show Custom" the Imaging window enlarges as if it was going to display the customization options. It does not display anything in addition to what was there before pressing "Show Custom."

Remote Enrollment errors out with "No Computer ID Returned". The item is added to the JSS however, but without the associated user from the Enrollment. Unsure if anything else is skipped. This is true of fresh enrollments and re-enrolling machines.

"Error remediating recovery key: Authentication error." trying to generate a new individual recovery key. Recovery key is generated but it never makes it to the JSS. Potential work arounds found in reference link.

A config profile with restrictions, specifically, " Allow iCloud documents & data" and "Allow use of iCloud password for local accounts" cause a spike in spotlight indexing. Workaround: use Apple Profile Manager to create the profile that needs the Security and Privacy payload, export it signed, and then import it to the JSS and deploy it.

Fixed an issue where the JSS failed to correctly set the TLSCertificateIsRequired key in an OS X configuration profile with a Network payload configured with Ethernet and EAP-TLS when compared to the same profile created using Profile Manager in Server app version 4.

There have been changes to Apple's GSX API which has caused an issue with the JSS obtaining information from GSX. The error is a missing Ship To or Sold To address. The code to fix it is done and is currently scheduled to be released with 9.93.

For iOS devices running 9.3.2, managed apps configured with 'Make app managed when possible' checked will not install, but will immediately fail with 'The iTunes Store ID of the application could not be validated.'

If an API calls against an Advanced Search and that search 1) has results where the Display Name is not specific (like iPad), and 2) doesn't have the display field 'Serial Number', then the output is bad repeating (incorrect) records.

When switching between Casper admin and the web interface for configurations, "Leave Empty" is not available in the web interface for partition configurations. When editing a configuration the web interface will always revert the partition configuration the the first in the list.

Response from JAMF:
For your reference, the number is PI-002892. Unfortunately the only workaround listed for this is to set the partition back to "Leave Empty" in Casper Admin.

Hopefully this is something that will be addressed in the near future.

Scripts that send a notification (for example, osascript -e 'display notification "Test notification with applescript..." with title "IT Dept"') do not work during the Recurring Check-in or Network State Change triggers, while they do work in other contexts: Login Policies, and custom triggers. JAMF acknowledges this as being tracked in PI-000484

Numeric values pulled from Active Directory reference an Array location of corresponding JSS element rather than the actual numeric contents. i.e. If pulling a numeric value of 9 in Department field from AD, Rather than it mapping to 9 in JSS Departments, it will map to whatever is in Array Location 9.

If DEP pre-staging is set to "Make MDM Profile Mandatory", any attempts to run "jamf mdm" or "jamf mdm -userLevelMdm" on the client will result in an error. Local user accounts that need to be made MDM capable users will be effected. Workaround is to remove /var/db/ConfigurationProfiles directory which will delete all config profiles and run "sudo jamf mdm" on the client. Note: The MDM profile will be removable as only DEP can enforce the "Make MDM Profile mandatory" option.

Casper Remote has View Log button which opens up a URL that looks like: file:///.file/id=6571367.20344534, but this URL is results in a blank page in Firefox and Chrome. Work around we have is to view the logs using Safari or in the JSS > computer record > History tab > Casper Remote Logs > Show.

Creating a smart group using the criteria computer name. Computers with a single quote in its computer name does not allow one to click on "Choose". Work around: if you copy and paste the computer name and manually enter it into the criteria field, it works fine.

When attempting backup, error "Error: Encountered an error while sending the backup notification to the JSS. Check your JSS URL Setting found in the Global Management section of your JSS. Received fatal alert: handshake_failure" is received. This is a side effect of a fix put in place to address the POODLE vulnerability with SSL. The error does not actually prevent the backups from being successfully created, the database utility just does not report back to the JSS that a backup was completed.

Error in jamf.log from a fresh image - jamf[272]: Error Domain=com.jamf.jamfsecurity.error Code=-25300 "The specified item could not be found in the keychain." UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=The specified item could not be found in the keychain.} I was told by our JAMF buddy that this should not be showing in the log; it has always been suppressed in previous versions. This is nothing to be concerned with eviently.

We currently have a product issue regarding the Accounts payload. It has been causing Prestage enrollments to fail when enabled. We are advising removing the payload until the Product Issue is resolved (PI-002847)
