Radish, French Breakfast
8/30/209/52"9/20-10/19
Thinned on Day 7, when sprouts were about 4" high. Thinned again on Day 12. Strong growth but unlikely to be ready for harvest by 9/20.
3
Lettuce, Amish Deer Tongue
8/30/209/910"10/13-10/23
As of 9/16, this is really struggling to get going. Thinned some on 9/12 but what's left is slow to grow.
4
Swiss Chard, Peppermint
8/30/209/5-9/612"10/18-10/30
After radishes, these were the next fastest to come up to 3-4". Thinned them on Days 7-8. Growth slowed a bit after thinning; may need an additional thinning.
5
Peas, Strike8/30/209/7N/A10/23-11/10
Really nice growth around Day 8. Sturdy 3" shoots with tight leaves by Day 10. UPDATE (9/16): These are now showing the most robust growth. Sprouts about 5" now with multiple sets of leaves and tendrils.
6
Beets, Chiogga8/30/209/123"10/23-
Thinned on 9/12. They are performing similarly to the Swiss chard. Slow growth but still hopeful.
7
Carrots, French Babette
8/30/209/122"11/10-
Thinned on 9/12. Still may need another thinning. Sprouts are very small/thin. Fingers crossed they get going soon.
8
Dill8/30/209/93"10/18-
No thinning necessary yet. Sprouts are very small and thin. Possibly only a few if any will make it.
9
Chinese Broccoli8/30/209/910"10/20-
As of 9/16 these are one of the best growers, behind peas and radishes. Thinking the eastern half of the garden is performing better for some reason (Radishes, Peas, Chinese Broccoli - but not dill), perhaps better sun coverage?
