Group Meeting FAQ

Who is expected to participate in group meetings?

Anyone who is part of the Baker lab must present. Attendance is not mandatory (though appreciated).

What should I do if I'm not in rotation, or believe I am missing?

How often am I expected to present?

The rotation is now a little over 3 months with 3 people per meeting.

How long does my talk need to be?

No longer than 20 minutes SHARP. We will begin timing talks to ensure we keep to schedule.

When are group meetings?

Every Monday and Friday at 3pm - 4pm, unless there is a holiday or otherwise noted on the schedule

What is required of me?

1) Send Michelle your title & abstract no later than Wed AM (if on Friday) and Fri AM (if on Monday) before you are to present.

2) Upload your presentation to the group folder any time prior to the meeting. Please ask Michelle for the link, as it must be kept within the Baker group only. Do NOT share it.

What if I have a scheduling conflict?

Find someone to swap with and let Michelle know to update the schedule. If you notify her at least 6 weeks in advace, she can help find someone to switch.
