I used this remote brainstorm with prompts guide when kicking off a new project. I used 30 minutes and invited anyone in the company who wanted to join. It was a great way of signaling to the company that we were about to start on a new initiative, gave space for people's ideas to be heard, and quickly showed what ideas or concerns were top of mind for the company. https://coda.io/@heljar/ux-brainstormHelena Jaramillo, Product Designerhttp://hjaramillo.com/

Autodesk Fusion 360: Integrates different elements of the design process (e.g., hardware & electrical components, software, etc.) into one platform and consequently allows for effective remote collaboration on a design. Lookback is an all in one testing platform that lets participants test app/web prototypes on their own phone, while you can talk to them. You even see where they tap! A web hosted prototype works best with Lookback. The easiest way to do this is: make a design in Figma, link the screens together and grab the URL. Lookback has an app that a user has to download, but from that point on it's straightforward.https://lookback.io/Daan van Klinken, a designer turned into FinTech startup founder of Flowhttps://flowyour.money/

If you're using Google tools
72
Google docs can be really great. I use forms for the voting - it did require extra time to upload sketches. But folks could do their sketches and then send you a photo. The google forms can be really helpful for voting. Group map can also be helpful for doing the dot voting, and narrowinghttps://www.google.com/drive/Alli Myatthttp://www.teachingtrust.org
73
Google Drive. We use Docs to perform the exercises + comment and the file storage to collect assets and ideas. (I use the Sprint book as a 1 on 1 framework to create websites). It's easy to set up and most people use it already to some extent so that the time needed to set it up and learn how it works is limited.https://www.google.com/drive/Claire Gallagherhttps://clairecreative.com/

Brand Sprint
79
My co-founders and I run a Berlin-based Design Studio and we are experienced in running remote workshops and Design Sprints with our international clients.

We've experimented with a ton of remote collaboration tools and found that the easiest and cheapest one was right in front of us: Google Slides. So, we started building our own remote collaboration templates in there - and our clients loved it.

With the outbreak of Corona, we decided to share these templates and learnings with colleagues, friends & family that also want to "Get S#!t Done" while being stuck at home. The first template we published is for remote Brand Sprints, following your teachings. :)

Other Whiteboard / Collab tools
86
DEON

It enables a group of people to work on a virtual and unlimited space (aka whiteboard) using any device one like (laptop, tablet, etc.). It allows the combination of different sources and data types.

So what I do is, I sketch things first on a white board (or at least with a pen on a paper) and than translate it into deon. As good all those digital/virtual tools are, we should always remember how creativity (using our hands, brain, eyes, etc. together) is enabled.
https://deon.de
87
Candor
(for remote idea ideation and voting).

People can anonymously post ideas and then vote on the ones they like most. Then, these can be ordered by number of votes.
https://usecandor.com/
88
Google jamboardhttps://jamboard.google.com
89
Sprintbase

It allows teams to navigate through the whole design thinking process fully remote while offering co-collaboration, tools when you might get stuck and I can get outside feedback and iterate my prototypes to refine through tests and experiments run.
https://www.bridgeinnovate.com/sprintbase
90
Invision Freehand
It is a virtual white board that is fast and anyone can draw regardless of need of a license

Small learning curve and quick ramp up. No download necessary, not everyone needs to have an InVision account to participate.

I’ve used it to run ideation sessions fully remote—allowing the capture from the exercises to grow in the space. In order to prevent the cognitive load of flipping between multiple tools, I put the agenda, ground rules, etc as part of the whiteboard experience. If team members aren’t comfortable drawing digitally, they can always draw at home, photograph, and import onto the whiteboard.

Tools like dot stickers can be drawn, copy/pasted.

It keeps the fidelity low and it keeps us fluid and moving.

Fun retro
Tool for making your sticky notes and voting go virtual. We used it many times with my team including the remote Design Sprint.

In particular we used for capturing the HMW's. But it's very handy for any type of exercise when you need to collect input from the group for further prioritization.
