Below is a list of suggested courses for your emphasis area. It is important to note that this list is not definitive. Should you find a course that is not listed below that you feel would be beneficial to your ESE course plan, you can present it to your EAA and get their approval to count said course towards your ESE requirements. All students must meet with their EAA to get approval on their first ESE worksheet. Thereafter, changes to your ESE course plan can be approved via EAA signature (meeting not required). Please remember that a maximum of 6 credits of Directed Research may be counted toward the total as well as in the engineering column on your ESE worksheet.

PRE-MED STUDENTS: Below is a list of recommended pre-med courses. The Cell & Tissue Engineering emphasis area most directly allows the Medical School recommended pre-med courses to be satisfied. However, all emphasis areas are pre-med capable; it is important to note that it is up to your emphasis area advisor whether or not the recommended pre-med courses listed below can count towards your ESE requirements. Please discuss this with your emphasis area advisor and reference the Pre-Med Advice section of the BME Undergraduate Intranet for further information.
