This is a resource dedicated to mapping out the optimal sequence of actions to take while transformed to maximize total damage dealt. The combos are calculated by a program that formulates the problem as a complicated knapsack, and uses linear programming to find an optimal solution. These combos do rely on several assumptions, and within those assumptions I can reasonably assure you that the results are well founded, however they should not be viewed in a context beyond those limitations. There is a companion sheet, maintained by Nyara, that supports DPS calculations for a dragon on a particular adventurer, however the assumptions involved are somewhat more lax - it should be used as a tool for experimentation rather than a rigorous reference.

We assume that:
7
- Things that you can cancel can be canceled three frames after a hit connects. It is possible, though very difficult, to cancel earlier, so in some sense you could outperform some of the listed combos. The Extra Credit tab features combos that assume you can cancel zero frames after a hit connects, but it is not actively updated.
8
- You always use skill, regardless of whether or not it is a DPS gain. This gives the optimal total damage, but may not give the optimal transformation DPS. The optimization program used can account for this, but the results have not been migrated over.
9
- All projectiles are treated as if they dealt damage instantly. This is a necessary evil, as without it computation becomes significantly more expensive.
10
- You have no external sources of dragon time. That is to say that the majority of these combos are computed over ten seconds of transformation time. For dragons with innate sources of transformation time, those abilities are assumed to be at their maximum value.
11
- Damage from the transformation splash is omitted. This may be changed in the near future, as it was recently changed to vary by dragon.
12
- The transformation damage modifier is not included.
13
- The effects of aura are not considered.
14
- Buffs/debuffs provided by a dragon's skills are assumed to be at their maximum effectiveness. For example, the effect of a critical rate buff assumes you have 0% base crit, despite the lowest possible value being 2%. Preferably, these effects would not be considered at all... but they can influence the optimal course of action, so they are included by necessity.
15
- All combos are calculated in isolation. That is, we assume that you don't have a team.
16
- This should go without saying, but we also assume that all of the collected data is accurate. There may be errors, of course, but without significantly more time and effort, it is difficult to detect where they may be present.
