Fox HuntPatrol Activity - Using radio to with a directional antenna to locate another radio signal. Radio navigation can be used just like a compass.DF antenna radio and matched FOX for each group on the team.

NCRC Fox numbered 1 - 6 Stamps for each Fox, Stamp Cards will be created and avaialble for the event.
Sean will get stamps / design and print cards.

Scout Antenna MastPatrol Activity - Patrol will work together to lash staffs together and provide guidelines to make a mast for an antenna. they will then pass a communication through the antenna. Team building exercise.3-4 scout staffs, lashing material, guide lines, antenna with coax, and radio. 5x7 Card with some type of a report to pass. And a station away from the activity to receive the report. This could be a timed and accuracy activity.TBD

Space RepairPatrol Activity - Scouts will pair up, one will be the astronaut and the other will be the ground technician. The ground technician will direct the astronaut on the assembly of a space gadget. The astronaut will need to use parts provided to build the assembly based on the ground controller's directions over a radio.Two radios and two assembly kits per team of scouts. I think 5-6 stations would allow maximum throughput. Scouts will be graded on the time and accuracy of the assembly.TBD

Message RelayPatrol Activity - Patrol members will each get a radio with a receive channel and a transmit channel. The scouts will take station spreading out around the field. The first scout will be given a message on a card. 1st scout will transmit the message to the second scout who is on the receive channel. The second scout will pass the message to the third scout and so on until the final scout sends the message back to the first scout. Accuracy matters! 8-10 radios (1 per scout) that are set for receive and transmit frequencies to do the round robin communication. Message on a 5x7 card to be passed. Time and accuracy will provide score.TBD

Introduction to Morse CodePatrol Activity - Understanding how "DIT" and "DA" can be used to communicate is a good skill to develop. The goal here is to get each scout to transmit and receive basic morse code.A quick introduction to morse code. Provide posters with the morse code alphabet and numbers. Have cw practice keys to send and receive with. Have 3x5s with Scout Law words. The scouts will draw a card and pass the word to another scout. This can be time and accuracy scored.TBD
