1/20/2016 13:14:51Hussein AjamiSTUDENTFlint Water DriveDue to the water crisis in Flint, SIA Student Government and a National Honor Society Committee are teaming up to host a bottled water drive in order to combat the water shortage in Flint, Michigan. There will be an incentive for the grade-level that donates the most bottled water/or money. The monetary value average of a case of bottled water will be totaled with the money donation to determine the winner. This motion is proposed to acquire monetary donations to buy cases of bottled water; as well as to acquire cases of bottled water from student families. We also request to allow donations from the community and businesses of Dearborn Heights. These two student organizations plan to send all donations of all kinds to a food bank in Flint, Michigan for distribution. 11BPresident of Executive Board02/15/2017Withdrawn

1/26/2016 16:11:57Hussein AjamiSTUDENTValentine's Day Candy-Gram FundraiserAs our first official fundraiser as student government, we would like to sell sugar-free state approved candy grams. This includes a small note attached that students can write school-appropriate greetings to their friends. The reason behind this endeavor is to provide a base amount to the student government budget. We request permission to design, carry out and receive funds for this fundraiser. The fundraiser will carry out from February 2nd through February 12th. The price will be set at a base of one dollar and at most three dollars for additional options including a bag and raffle ticket for a larger prize. Money will be kept with Ms. Adams, students who sell candy-grams must be accompanied by a government mentor. Funds will be updated on the budget spreadsheet at the end of the fundraiser.11BPresident of Executive Board02/15/2017Withdrawn
