Leadership experience (Turbulence and transport, L-H transitions, isotope physics) Expertise in L-H transition /transport barriers physics in PT/NT plasmas (exp. and simulation/theory); Expertise in microwave diagnostics (DBS, CECE, profile reflectometry)
"Energetic particles": Interaction of TAE/EP modes with low turbulence and flows
"Enhancing plasma confinement": analysis and control of transport barriers in PT/NT plasmas; analysis and control of self-generated/intrinsic flows; isotope effects on turbulence and transport, reduced model development
"Burning plasma core": Isotope effects, confinement and burn control in ITG/TEM-dominated regimes; intrinsic rotation generation for burning plasmas
3 FTEs: 1 researcher: "EP", "Enhancing plasma confinement", "Burning plasma core", 1-2 postdocs (or 1 postdoc/1 student): "Enhancing plasma confinement", "Burning plasma core"
