Students should familiarize themselves with the licensing requirements for the state(s) in which they plan to pursue licensure. Meeting academic requirements does not equate to meeting licensure requirements.
4	Oklahoma is a member of the Counseling Compact. Through this compact, professional counselors who have completed their degrees AND are fully licensed in a member state can quickly obtain a privilege to practice by applying to that state, which is equivalent to a license to practice counseling in another state.
