5	Gene Allen	Smithfield	Smithfield only hires part time drivers to operate our own vehicles. We do not hire drivers with their personal plow trucks.
6	Frank Corrao	Cranston	Cranston requires the truck be insured and the truck is registered. Proof of both requirements has to be submitted to DPW-Highway Maintenance.
7	Peter Chiaradio	Westerly	We haven’t used vendors. Unfortunately I don’t know the answer to that. I know D OT always uses vendors. May be a good question for them.
8	Stephen L. Daignault Jr.	Narragansett	This doesn’t apply to Narragansett. We hire drivers as Part Time Employees and then put them in our trucks.

10	Rick Rogers	Tiverton	Tiverton requires: Workers Compensation Insurance is necessary for all business entities required to carry workers compensation by Rhode Island Law. The bidder shall maintain workers’ compensation and Rhode Island motor vehicle insurance with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence bodily injury and property liability to protect the Town from any liability for damages to persons or property which may arise from operations to be performed for the Town. The insurance needs only to be in effect from November 1 through March 31 (or the end of plow/sand season) and the minimum insurance requirements may be covered by a less expensive Umbrella Policy to meet Town requirements. A certificate of insurance naming the Town of Tiverton as certificate holder and Additional Insured and a copy of the current registration for each vehicle must be submitted to the DPW with the Application to Plow. A 30 day Notice of Cancellation is required.
