This template provides you with the framework needed to help you clearly measure your website’s performance in relation to your business objectives.

Using web analytics software such as Google Analytics, you can see exactly what impact your website has on your business and how it can improve conversion, and help grow revenue.

Tracking the right metrics means you can focus your campaigns properly for the right audience and achieve specific objectives.

You will identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for each objective and then define measurable metrics for each KPI.
From there, you will devise an implementation plan to ensure you reach these goals.

How to use:

Each tab in this document has its own purpose:

Example plan:
A comprehensive example measurement plan as a pick 'n' mix guide for your business. Each business is unique and has it's unique set of objectives and KPIs so this is not a definitive list, just some help to get you started..
Refer to this to see how business objectives KPIs may translate into measureable metrics for different audience types. You can copy all or part of this if relevant to your business, or use as inspiration for your own measurement plan on the next tab.

Your measurement plan:
A blank canvas to add your own target audiences, objectives, KPIs and metrics to measure. Refer back to the example plan if you get stuck.

Example implementation plan:
A fully completed example implementation plan as a guide for your implementation planning.
This is the working document that you would fill in across your teams as you implement tracking. It outlines what’s still to do, what’s done, and what to add.

Your implementation plan:

A blank canvas to fill in your implementation workflow from the completed measurement plan. This is your ongoing checklist to use across your teams.
