Cedar was almost overwhelming on the retrohale, but helped keep my interest in the cigar." -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 90 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | "The second third was almost clearly marked as the ash fell from the cigar and there was a decided change in the retrohale from a strong cedar to a light oak. The body increased slightly and showed an ever increasing trend in that category. Oak notes were also seen on the palate accomanying the main flavor of corn flakes. From time to time I could also pick up notes of the pepper that vanished just after lighting." -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 87.5 | Mild-Medium | Medium | "The final third shared a common trend first the first two: cereal grains and wood. Those two components varied at times from puff to puff, be it oatmeal and cedar, cornflakes and oak, or a blend of them all." -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 85 | "I cut this cigar with a light v-cut and found a free-flowing cigar. I think a standard straight cut might have been way too loose." -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 92.5 | "This cigar loved to burn. It kept a clean edge from start to finish and produced an ash that built well." -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 87.5 | "The rolled veins, slight box press and golden color of the cigar were all great. However the looseness of the draw, at least to me, seemed to indicate that it might be slightly under-filled. The closed foot is a very nice feature, and aids in lighting, especially if you find yourself with just one match." -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 90 | "While this might not be a cigar I reach for on a regular basis by any means, it still turned out to be a good cigar, and one I wouldn't have a problem referring. Earthy and faint spices detected." -Adam B. (Bushboy) | 90 | Mild | Light-Medium | "Extremely mild smoke that tastes of nougat and graham cracker. Cool smoke." -Adam B. (Bushboy) | 90 | Mild | Light-Medium | "Still producing a mild and cool smoke. Sweet caramel and brown sugar detected. Dominant flavors is still an earthy graham cracker. Hints of cocoa are detected as I approach the final third." -Adam B. (Bushboy) | 87.5 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | "Creamy and smooth. Nutty and sweet with an even burn. Earthy and a slight hay flavor on the finish. Definitely picking up strength. Cedar was almost overwhelming on the retrohale, but helped keep my interest in the cigar. | Very Good | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | The second third was almost clearly marked as the ash fell from the cigar and there was a decided change in the retrohale from a strong cedar to a light oak. The body increased slightly and showed an ever increasing trend in that category. Oak notes were also seen on the palate accomanying the main flavor of corn flakes. From time to time I could also pick up notes of the pepper that vanished just after lighting. | Good | Mild-Medium | Medium | The final third shared a common trend first the first two: cereal grains and wood. Those two components varied at times from puff to puff, be it oatmeal and cedar, cornflakes and oak, or a blend of them all. | Fair | I cut this cigar with a light v-cut and found a free-flowing cigar. I think a standard straight cut might have been way too loose. | Great | This cigar loved to burn. It kept a clean edge from start to finish and produced an ash that built well. | Good | The rolled veins, slight box press and golden color of the cigar were all great. However the looseness of the draw, at least to me, seemed to indicate that it might be slightly under-filled. The closed foot is a very nice feature, and aids in lighting, especially if you find yourself with just one match. | Very Good | While this might not be a cigar I reach for on a regular basis by any means, it still turned out to be a good cigar, and one I wouldn't have a problem referring. As cigars on the market tend to get lean towards fuller flavored and fuller bodied, it's nice to have something that is much lighter all around and is more easily approachable. | 70
92 | 7/11/2017 12:58:04 | Eric (smalls29) | 624 | Good | A nice light tan color in a box press. The foot has a partial covering from the wrapper. | Very Good | There are nice light aromas of grass and woods. A nice mellow smell that can lull you to sleep. | Good | Medium | Medium-Full | Within the first few puffs I am thinking this is a Connecticut. There are nice flavors of grass and burnt walnut. Even some hints of charcroiled beef. The capstone that makes this so nice is the peppery after-taste and tingle left on the palate and lips. | Good | Medium | Medium-Full | Still a good smoke. The grassy, charred wood and meat are delicious. | Good | Medium | Medium | As I approached the end, the flavors seemed to dissapate some. The grassy flavor left but the burnt wood and charred beef were still present. The peppery tingle disappeared as well. | Great | The draw was nice and easy | Very Good | The burn was smooth and clean with no problems. | Great | This was a solid cigar. The cap punched very nicely with absolutly no problems. | Very Good | Overall a nice, flavorful smoke. The taste f burnt wood and charred beef were awesome, The grassy notes and peppery tingle were the icing on the cake. I may have rated this one as medium but it could be rated and mild to medium. My only complaint is the time was too quick. I would have liked more time to enjoy it. It will pair nicely with a cup of strong coffee on a cool day. | 45
93 | 7/11/2017 18:17:35 | Adam B. (Bushboy) | 624 | Very Good | Very light colored wrapper on this box pressed toro. Wrapper very thin an shows the contours of the binder and possibly the filler too. Foot is halfway closed on one end, and there is a double cap placed nicely on the other. | Very Good | Sweet hay and very subtle notes all together. Earthy and faint spices detected. | Very Good | Mild | Light-Medium | Extremely mild smoke that tastes of nougat and graham cracker. Ash hangs on for about an inch before falling off completely. Very pleasant aroma thus far and burn has been straight and slow. Cool smoke. | Very Good | Mild | Light-Medium | Still producing a mild and cool smoke. Sweet caramel and brown sugar detected. Dominant flavors is still an earthy graham cracker. Hints of cocoa are detected as I approach the final third. | Good | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | Creamy and smooth. Nutty and sweet with an even burn. Earthy and a slight hay flavor on the finish. Definitely picking up strength. Notes of clove are detected on the retrohale as the cigar approaches the nub. | Great | Draw was fantastic throughout. Plenty of smoke and very little effort. | Excellent | Burn stayed true for the entire session. Never had to touch up, and never wavered to far from even. | Good | Very minimal errors. Two places where the seem started to come undone, although it never developed into a problem. | Very Good | A touch more mild than I prefer, although overall this was a pretty tasty cigar. Burn and aroma where fantastic, and the flavors would compliment a day by the pool. I would definitely smoke this again in the future. | 75
