GENERAL NOTES
34
You must have at least four quarters of undergraduate work remaining at Stanford AFTER the quarter in which your IDMEN proposal is submitted; the IDMEN may not be your secondary major.
35
1)
To declare your IDMEN major, the following materials must accompany this Program Sheet: Written proposal, 4-Year
36
Plan, letter of support from Primary Advisor, and an unofficial Stanford transcript.
37
2)All transfer and AP credits must be approved by the SoE Dean's office (OSA). Changes to an approved IDMEN program must be petitioned and approved by both advisors and the SoE Dean's office.
38
39
3)All courses listed on this form must be taken for a letter grade if offered by the instructor (exception: pandemic quarters Wtr/Spr 2020, and AY 20-21). Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) for all courses in Engineering
40
Fundamentals and Engineering Depth (combined) is a 2.0.
41
4)IDMEN programs must include a course approved to fullfill the "Writing in the Major" (WIM) requirement. WIM courses within the appropriate subject for your program can be found by checking requirements of related majors in the UGHB <https://ughb.stanford.edu/majors-minors/major-programs>.
42
5)Approved course lists can be found at https://ughb.stanford.edu/courses/approved-courses on the Courses page. In Science, only one social/behavioral sciences course may be used for the major, and must be above the level of an intro course. A TiS course must be on the SoE-approved list the year you take it.

7)All courses listed in Engineering Depth must be offerings from the School of Engineering. Must include at least one course that is intended as a “capstone/senior project” course in a SoE major, with content and activities that are relevant to your proposed goals. In addition, you must take a course related to your major that satifies the WIM requirement; see Note 4 on previous page. ENGR 1 or 2, IntroSems, Student-Initiated, and Soph College courses are not allowed to count in the major program.
