| David Billingslea | Sermon on the Mount | The Sermon on the Mount: Jesus' Most Famous Speech | The Sermon on the Mount contains some of the most well-known teachings of Jesus. From Mahatma Gandhi to Martin Luther King Jr., the Sermon on the Mount has inspired, challenged, and impacted countless people around the world. In his message, Jesus is not simply telling people how to find the right path or get blessings from God, but he is announcing his answer to the universal human question, "What is the good life?" Jesus reverses the common values of the world and shows us a new and better way for our happiness and flourishing — both personally and communally. (This is mainly for students in RUF-International but students from RUF are welcomed and encouraged to also join!) | 2
| Andrew Terrell | Justification | How To "Get Right" With God | Most of us would say that Christianity is about more than becoming a better person -- it's about being "saved." But what if it's about even more than that? Surprisingly, the Bible teaches that God forgiving our sin and covering our shame is only the starting point. He welcomes us into his family, he clothes us in honor, he credits immeasurable riches to our account. Whether you are a lifelong Christian or still questioning, come explore the doctrine of justification with us to find out more! | 2
| Chris Garriott & Terry Dykstra | Emotional Health | Emotional buoyancy in a culture of anxiety, fear and depression -What do I do with my feelings? | The CDC report is in, we are more depressed and anxious than ever. Nearly 3 in 5 teen girls (57%) said they felt "persistently sad or hopeless." And 30% said they have seriously considered dying by suicide — a percentage that's risen by nearly 60% over the past 10 years. Is there any hope for us? The Psalms are rich with emotional honesty and are a window into our soul to understand ourselves and God. Fear, anger, guilt, shame, disappointment, loneliness and depression are all expressed through the Psalms and become a map to know ourselves and teach us about God. In their book the Cry of the Soul -Dan Allender and Tremper Longman write, “The Psalms propel us into the deepest questions about ourselves, about others, and about God. As we let them expose the depths of our emotions, they will lead us to the God who reveals himself in the midst of our struggle.” Join us as we wrestle through our various emotional states with the truth of the Psalms and find hope in God. | 2
| Thomas Kuhn | Prayer | Enjoy your prayer life | "Lord, teach us to pray..." (Luke 11:1). These words from Jesus' disciples point to a reality in the lives of most Christians. We feel like we should pray, maybe we even want to pray, but we just feel so inadequate at it. How can I pray if I don't know what to say? What am I even doing when I pray? Does prayer change anything? How do I know God's listening? These are all valid questions that we will be discussing in this seminar. The hope is that we can understand what prayer is, practice it together, and move a couple steps towards enjoying our prayer lives. | 2
| Matthew DeLong | Sanctification | Walking with Jesus: Good News, Trust, and Holiness | What does it mean to be a holy person? Is this something I should pursue? How do I grow in holiness? Each of us has ideas of what it means to be a holy person and whether that’s something you should even seek. Whether you’ve grown up in a Christian family or you’ve just recently heard the name of Jesus, this seminar aims to help you better understand what it means to be holy and to personally grow in holiness. | 2

| Titus Bagby/Brian Howard | Cross-cultural dynamics | The True Story of the Whole World (Global God) | Who are you and what story are you a part of? This is the fundamental question of every human heart. We long for our lives to have meaning and purpose. We long to have relationships that last and bring us life and blessing. So what is the story that can bring people from every tribe, tongue and nation together? Is there a way for us to have unity without losing our diversity? Is there a Global God worth trusting with whole our lives and with all our relationships? Come join the conversation with students from around the world as we explore what the Bible has to say about human dignity, what’s wrong with the world, God’s solution to this problem and the glorious future we all hope to have. | 4
| Travis Hutchinson | Science & Faith | Science & Faith | If you grew up in a context like me, you might have heard that Christian doctrine and modern science are incompatible: the Bible says one thing, and the scientific community says another. While it may not be entirely innaccurate, that sentiment tends to paint a one-dimensional picture of the relationship between the two. Without compromising on the Bible being the authoritative and infallible Word of God, during this seminar we'll explore the intersection of science and faith, looking at questions like how do (can?) we reconcile the Bible with modern scientific theory?, is faith at odds with reason?, and do miracles actually happen?. | 4
| Chelsea Kelly | How to Read the Bible | How to Read the Bible | Do you want to read the Bible regularly (or at least feel like you should) but you don't know where to start? Or maybe you have a practice of Bible-reading, but you feel like you're not getting as much out of it as you could. Wherever you find yourself, you should join us as we talk about how to read the Bible! We'll dive into big-picture principles all the way down to very practical suggestions to help you read the Bible better, and maybe even learn to love it! | 4
