We compiled all of our observations and take-aways from each break out session into a S'more infographic to reflect how we can use the information we gained into our content area and classrooms. I attached the link to the infographic above, however, if we could also have a member of the PD team share it to the district blog, that would be greatly appreciated.

I brought in a sound engineer in order to better develop higher quality sound in our theatre productions at the high school.
I completed this work in November of 2017 prior to the fall musical.
I was able to share this information with several students who in turn ran the sound board and microphones for the fall musical. I also was better able to teach them with this new-found information. I believe the visibility was obvious with better sound for the pubic performances.

Alyssa BuskenExcelsior Springs High SchoolI read a book by Ruby K. Payne about understanding poverty
I read the book through multiple hours in the month of February and then worked on making my learning visible on a separate day
I created a google slides slideshow and made my learning visible by creating a top 5 list of reasons why all educators should read this book, what I learned, and how it impacts my life as a teacher

I read the book "Dynamic Stretching" by Mark Kovacs, Ph. D., CSCS. I wanted to provide my physical education students with dynamic exercises that focus on "stretching, power, endurance, flexibility, coordination, balance, neuromuscular activation, speed and mental preparation (pg. 14). I wanted to focus on stretching activities that can improve performance and to reduce the risk of injury.
I read the book "Dynamic Stretching" by Mark Kovac's over a week period Jan 29-Feb 2nd.

I chose to do webinars. The webinars work well for me because it is an hour at a time and on different topics that give me many opportunities to grow. Names of the webinars are: Future Reading Librarians: Building Instructional Partnerships, From Libraries to Learning Commons, Developing Irresistible Teen Programs, New approaches to Existing Spaces, Innovations in Teen Spaces, Library as Center of Innovation and Integrating Media Literacy and Critical Thinking.
