I started as a player in nLTP s9 with Glide and BallMyLife and have been consistently playing every season since I started up. I have been a captain three times, twice with LBT in S21 and S26, and once with TPK in S27.
Yes, as long as I am able to do so remotely and be on my phone for it. I've been dedicated to Tagpro for the last 3-4 years.
I honestly don't know ALL of the responsibilities that you do because there is so much that you do, but I have always liked working with Cheeze/Activ./Hjalpa and being more of the QnA person for my teams that I've captained. I think theres a great opportunity for building the Tagpro community and retaining players that sign up. Cheeze has already done a tremendous job with rookies. I think there could be some more involvement from rookies/sophomores to get them to a point that they are more competitive for tagpro in the future.
check q5
I think the disassociation between A/B hurt the novice players with scrims. It was extremely hard to find scrims for a lot of newer teams (mine), unless your already had a good set up of teachers/cocaptains/etc. I would like to see either a small affiliation with some of the minors teams, or some type of small committee of "novice scrimmers" that would be available to help teach and coach novice players to help the captains with their jobs.
I think etiquette is a good thing in any sport. I'm not sure I understand this question entirely, but I do expect respect amongst teams and players at all times. I am very easy going, but I do not tolerate unprofessionalism or bad manners.
I was in an interesting case this past season with my availability and my skill level. I think Cheeze/FLY summed it up well basically saying that my availability was an issue for minors captains.... but my skill level was too high for novice...

I really wanted to keep playing for this season, but if it makes games unfair in the CRC eyes, im fine falling by the wayside to help tagpro be more equal and fun.

I just went through the correct way to sign up (i said I had availability issues those dates), and through the correct way to be dropped (no other minors captains wanted me), so it was frustrating to not be allowed to play novice based on a vote/discussion from the CRC (i assume).

Overall, I think the process is good and works well... if we stand by the system. This season I think I still would've been able to play, but me also being a captain was an issue.
I like 10/12-16/10. All dependent on sign up numbers... Higher number of minors teams with the 3 regions helped equalize a lot of skill discrepancies IMO.
Restrict to the max as their sign up. Captains know they people they draft have the restrictions, so they should have to abide by the restrictions.

Everything again. Didn’t give the rookies as much love last season as I would’ve liked though
More automation and distribution of weekly tasks. Allow captains to make edits to their game times and streams so the community isn’t waiting on a CRC member to log on
I don’t think we need anything major. Just want to fine tune the things that didn’t go right last season
Still DBAD
I think we need to have a more in depth community discussion on the add/drop windows and what should or shouldn’t qualify for an out of league replacement. Also want a more explicit procedure for selecting those players when indicated
I thought the numbers worked well. 10-18-8, bigger emphasis on keeping Novice at 8 than the other two league numbers
I don’t see the community ever settling on position restrictions. If we lift them then we have draft manips and players threatening to ghost/play poorly if their captain doesn’t play them in one or the other position and if we have them then we get the same complaints we’ve seen this season. I think the line between O and D should be less rigid and it should be on captains to not allow a restriction to significantly lower draft stock with the understanding that there are situations that happen in game where someone will “break” their restriction because it is the right play to make. Position restrictions aren’t the problem as much as bad faith players are, the players who are the problem should lose their ability to position restrict without it impacting the rest of the league. Mic restrictions are whatever, I don’t see a reason to enforce them

Founded NLTP, in total Commissioner for 4 years across NLTP and MLTP, including this past season.
Yes.
This past season I took the lead on confirming captains, guiding the TCAC allotment process, getting TPL stats in, and getting the playoffs going (having matchups and maps decided quickly). I would continue to take the lead on those next season. I have also expressed publicly that in my view the main reason the rulebook took so long to come out (and it did come out way later than it should have) was that the CRC was not always effective at resolving hanging threads and cutting off discussion to bring something to a vote and move forward. Next season, if elected, I will take greater personal ownership of that responsibility to ensure that decisions are being made efficiently.
I would like to work with whoever I need to in order to get the Competitive tab on the tagpro website updated, to have more relevant information and to make it easier for any new player who reads it to join NALTP.
With the enormous change this past season, I don't really have a big change in mind. My focus is primarily on making things run more effectively and addressing any administrative difficulties that come up as NALTP continues to be one merged league.
I think player etiquette is generally important, while also recognizing that nobody needs the CRC to be engaging in heavy-handed policing of every discord conversation. I think CRCs in the past few seasons have generally struck the right balance on this.
Nothing major. I think the designated transaction windows have worked well and are something I want to keep. I want to put out a community survey, however, and am completely open to making changes based on the feedback received.
If the captains and signups allow for it then I would be very interested in a 12-16-10 or a 12-18-10 structure, and I wouldn’t want to go below 10 MLTP teams. I personally enjoyed the larger mLTP, having a lot of teams led to more storylines, excitement, and content, and whereas players have in the past complained about mLTP getting ignored compared to MLTP and NLTP A, it seemed to me that people had a much more enjoyable experience in mLTP post-merger.
I voted against position restrictions for MLTP and mLTP, and in favor of them for NLTP, and I stand by that. I don’t support microphone restrictions, as I think most of the time when somebody can’t mic it’s because of real life circumstances (usually parents), and if something changes where they can finally use a mic it makes sense to me to let them.

I’ve captained going as far back as nltp s6 and as recently as this season, being involved in multiple formats and have seen just about it all from the crc
Yes. I intend to not signup/remove my signup for next season should I get elected so I could focus on crc stuff getting done quickly and transparently
The crc needs someone to actually be active with captains/community. My experience this last season as a captain was that crc decisions took forever and weren’t transparent. The only crc members that ever seemed to be around were Messi and cheeze, and even then it sometimes felt like getting anything done with the crc took forever
I’d like to see a return to DEPs drafted after the initial 4 for both majors and minors
I’d like to see a return to 40 minutes, either in the form of 2-20 minute games or just 4 ten minute games a week
I think etiquette has generally been fine recently and I don’t think anything major needs to change, however I’d like to see ghosters punished harsher with longer bans
Outside the DEPs mentioned earlier I like the current system
10 majors, 16 minors (4 divisions 4 teams each), rest in novice
Position restrictions are borderline impossible to enforce so they need to go. Mic restrictions are fine if people want to do that as it’s much easier to enforce

Communicating with the public, setting up polls and using them to influence major crc decisions. Communication is key.
Public crc chat (more transparency)
1. More consistency with decision making. This season we saw several instances of crc making decisions case by case and failing to stay consistent with established precedent.
2. More importance on public polling to influence major crc decisions. We should make some effort in getting public opinion on controversial issues and using that as one of the factors when making decisions.
3. This might be controversial but I would like to give a dallas/whatever server splits a chance (depending on the support from polling). If there is decent support for server splits, we can look to implement it in minors league (in the case of playoffs higher seed can decide servers for couple games or something).
Talk trash if you want, dont make it too personal 😜
None that I can think of right now.
I liked the previous format
Allow position restrictions, no mic restrictions

I enjoy organization and things being easy to find. I would probably try to spearhead things in that category, but the infohub is maybe the biggest step we've taken in that direction so a lot of the job is done. I like making things look nice. I don't have any passions
reopen the Small of Fame. Smally for Majors.

I think we should tweak it so that there are no 3 map weeks. Could just do 2-3 all season long with maps being played 5 times in total. That would appease the people who like a more traditional MLTP style with only 8 maps or whatever being played in total as opposed to like 15. I know this is a big split among MLTP v NLTP mainstays. I think keeping the NLTP-esque format of 10 min games in a series but maintaining the old 2 maps per week with 1 changing each week moving forwards of MLTP is a good compromise. I don't think that last sentence is going to be easy to read oops
Probably cut the CRC from 7 to 5 like do we really need 7 people on this? idk man

-Provided signup numbers remain the same:
---Expand Majors to 12 teams (some people will probably really push back against this based on their evaluation of talent in the signup pool).
---Decrease Minors to be no more than 16 teams.
---Be willing to expand Novice past 8 teams, even if it means a weird number of teams like 9 (dependent on signups).

-Change Novice tier to all-dallas to mirror the higher tiers.
---I could probably be convinced that this is not a big concern if there is enough vitriol from rookies/newer players in the novice tier. If it's actually helping bring in more players by letting them not play dallas, then fine. I feel like it's a miniscule difference, and place more value on the parallelism across leagues.
---I would LOVE to see a league be able to function as a "central" league with dallas chicago splits, but I truly do not think chicago as it stands currently can support more than a tiny amount of concurrent competitive games, as evidenced by big lag issues during the tenure of ChiLL league and also in the lag being experienced by Novice players this past season on gamedays that featured an abundance of chicago games
Don't be a dick, idk. I feel like it's easy to tell when people cross the line.
I think people are going to talk about wanting to alter or remove free agency in the lowest tier but I think for the sake of expanding league signups it's something that must be allowed to stay in place. The week delay thing with add/drop weeks seemed to work well this past season. I didn't follow majors particularly closely and I know there were no drops which feels significant so maybe there is disagreement with my opinion on this (or my opinion that major's should be expanded).

position restrictions should be allowed in that it lets players dictate where they want to play. There are going to be complaints about "manipping" either way, but I think things would only get worse in that regard if we removed restrictions entirely. I think we should operate under the assumption that these restrictions apply only to a traditional 2o 2d situation and if a team is playing 3d the restrictions go out the window. I think a compromise of "position preference" is a middle ground compromise that somewhat solves the problems of both sides of the argument. I think this is a compromise similar to how it was decided we should allow players to say "no" when asked by a captain if they would like to be drafted to their team, but not allow them to openly state things like "I will not play for X Y and Z captains." It lets players inform the league of their intent but also be flexible if circumstances change on their team. It also gives players who want to play a certain position credence in their disagreements with captains who would rather see them play the opposite. Ultimately it is makes the draft process more transparent which I think is good.

microphone restrictions are tough. I think handling removing mic restrictions on a case by case basis via appeals like the CRC has been doing is good way to handle them. A noob signing up thinking they won't have a mic, but it turning out that they will in fact have a mic, is different than a high tier majors player signing up no mic and then immediately wanting to use their mic after the draft or something.

One season as a captain, around 15 seasons as a player. No experience in administrative roles or as a volunteer
Yes
1) I think I can take a lot of the load off Poet (if he so wants) when it comes to managing spreadsheets, data inputation, and other quantitative stuff. I have skills in these fields related to my career.
2) I am really passionate about competitive integrity. Historically, I have led pushes for TCAC (I even wrote a paper I submitted to the CRC and Competitive TagPro discord demonstrating that TCAC led to more fair seasons from both an empirical and purely mathematical perspective), All-Sphere leagues, and non playing GMs. I am an active participant in discussions related to parity in the league and I think I can take the lead on these discussions and get good ideas through.
3) I work with kids for a living. I understand that I get pretty combative in discord and so one when discussing things, but on the CRC I would definitely take a more professional approach to things and I'm ok with taking the lead when dealing with people or captains who are frustrated."
4) I guess the previous CRC wrote the rules so we don't need to do that anymore
1) Add numerical values to draft packet rankings such as average rating along with a min, max rating
2) Remove ping as a variable on the draft packet. Have players submit their pings privately to captains as part of the signup process with either 1) TPFG verification of ping or 2) MTR / quantitative evidence if all captains request verification. You just end up with people getting salty about manip instead of it being a really informative number, to be honest.
3) Ties in regular season. OT is stupid
4) Less teams make playoffs. Possibility of a play-in gauntlet.
5) Similarly to 4), make the regular season matter by using seeding for some relevant advantage in the playoffs. Real sports teams get byes or home field advantage. HFA doesn't really exist in tagpro if we want every team to play every map each round of playoffs.
6) The Draft needs to go faster. Cut the auction timer by a decent percentage.
1) One big change I do not want is a 5 man CRC. Getting major group project vibes where two people ghost from the start and put their name on the paper at the end just from th
e idea of it.
2) Prize money for best new competitive map. Can't be a re-do of an old map unless the changes are significant. Test maps in preseason tournament or TPM.
3) There needs to be a significant reform to how the CRC operates in relation to appointing captains and being appointed by captains. Simply stated, it's a blatant conflict of interest for captains to be appointed by the CRC and then elect the next CRC when there are people running for re-election. I would move CRC elections to a more democratic system where any players who are currently signed up for the next season or played in the last season are eligible to vote. This represents a significant change and would produce a CRC that would more closely align with the interests of the community.
It's 2022 either stop being a dick or get out. People who are banned from MLTP can play tournaments or grind TPM. Also, seasons are shorter than they were previously. I see no issue with punishing people for issues related to etiquette.
On that note, some bans historically have been BS. Accel got a censure + suspension (IIRC) for playing under a white name and BoldRoller did it this season and no one cared. I have played under a white name multiple seasons in the past and no one has batted an eye. Either just ban him because he's a nuisance or treat him fairly.
Dual Eligibility is fine if people want to play more tagpro let them. Dual eligible people also inflate player count which means we can get more teams in.
10
Don't really see why they should exist. Players should be allowed to ask to play a specific position in their signups but I'm not sure the talent pool is deep enough for players to have a final say on positions. It should be a captain's call. Anyways, considering we have issues with both player and captain retention, we should have at least a few things in place to make captain's jobs easier and this could be one of them.
