You earn bonus points for writing more words: 250 words = one point, 500 words = two points, 1000 words = three points, 2000 words = four points.
8
You will earn far more points for hitting your daily minimum consistently than from writing in bursts. Someone who hits the minimum every day for a month will write 7,250 words but earn nearly 500 points. Someone who writes 2,000 words every other day will end the month with 30,000 words but only 75 points. Big difference. Consistency is key.

New Features
10
Find an open track in the Gplus 2 tab and add your name. Fill in your daily word count along the top line (words).
11
-----
12
13
1 (current level, this box will be white or light gray)
14
1 (number of levels to go up, this box will be green!)
15
-----
16
You need to type "2" in the light-colored box. The green box will disappear and your quota will go up. The column next to your name should look like this now:
17
-----
18
300 (new quota)
19
2 (new level)
20
(empty box, now blue or yellow, depending on your track)
21
-----
22
If you want to personalize your track with funky colors, please stick to the white/light-gray areas.
23
There's now a designated spot for your twitter handle or blog.
24
There's a spot for the title of your current project. If you specify a target word count, your words remaining will be updated for you.

Leveling Up
29
In the transition to the new Google Sheets, your current level probably got scrambled and you'll have to reset it. I've added some extra conditional formatting to assist with this. If you see a green box below your number, congratulations! You need to level up. Add the number in the green box to your current number and the green should reset to neutral (pale blue or yellow). If you see a red box, it means your current level is too high (an artifact of the move). Add the (negative) number in the red box to your current level.

Level 03 = 1,890Thanks to Mark Lindberg for these numbers [at left] showing how many points we need to level-up.
He had them posted over on the FB page but I thought it would be a good idea to put them where people could find them more easily.
