If you have a subject you'd like to discuss, a project you'd like to hack on or some other type of session you'd like to propose, please add it to the "PROPOSED SESSIONS" section below (see row 19). This will let people see potential sessions before the actual event gets under way.
5
At 6:45 PM on Wednesday 8/21, we will paste the link to the google hangout (to propose sessions) here:(Hangout link will go here)
6
and the link to the Hangouts on Air live stream (to watch) here:(Live Stream link will go here)

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS ------>INSTRUCTIONS
This is the Session Proposal / Waiting Room document. This document (and an accompanying Google Hangout Video Chat) are used
1) from 7:00 to 7:30 for proposing session topics and scheduling sessions.
2) from 7:30 to 10:30 as a waiting room where people can hang out and chat if there aren't any sessions currently on offer that interest them and
3) from 10:30 to 11:00 as the wrap up session where we will share highlights and delegate who will add any videos, google docs or work product to the Collaborative Internet Wiki

Each session will start with participants logging into two places:
1) a Google Doc (like this one) and
2) either a "hangout" or if the hangout is full, then at a "Hangout on air."
note: Hangout links won't be available until the hangout is actually started. Once a hangout is started, the host for that session will paste links into the google doc for both the hangout and the hangout on air live stream.

Up to 50 participants will be able to edit a google doc at one time. Those people can communicate either by writing into the google doc or by using instant messaging features within google docs.

Up to 10 participants will be able to participate directly in a specific Hangout. If more than ten people are interested in participating in a session, extra people will be able to watch the hangout via the hangout on air link.

If there are more than 10 people wanting to participate (check the viewers on the google doc for your session to check this ), then we recommend having no more than 7 people on the hangout at any one time. This leaves some "empty seats" so that new contributors can jump into the conversation at any point in time. If an eighth person jumps onto the hangout, one of the other participants should voluntarily drop off and jump onto the hangout on air stream instead to open up another seat.
