Session InfoThis workshop is to highlight some of the transition goals and issues that comes from becoming a instructional coach. Instructional coaches resources, focus points and other helping materials will be shared.In this session, attendees will learn about the many ways we create and share professional development with our teachers. From teacher led work shops to "advertisements" on the TV in the teachers lounge we try to meet teachers where they are and connect them with mentors who can help assist they growth in edtech and beyond.Explore Technology Integration Cohort, a professional development model designed and implemented by TIES to develop innovative technology leaders. Goals, processes, resources and lessons learned provided. Learn to build your own personalized learning network that includes #ETCOACHES members and social media channels. Learn to use various tools to find and curate information for your own professional growth.Learn to add a layer of engagement to your coaching menu by picking up a toolkit of interactive images and video for modification and reuse. What do you do when a teacher clearly doesn't need you? How do you help the teacher who has it all together? Learn how to build capacity in teachers and help them soar.Don’t let your teachers sink on the SS Technology. Design personalized PD based on the needs of your staff using Google Classroom and other resources. Teachers drown under information from traditional trainings. Move beyond the “sit-and-get” into classroom application from professional learning that has a real impact on teacher growth.Stepping into a tech coaching position can be overwhelming! Together, we'll collaborate and explore strategies encompassing everything from promoting teacher buy-in to increasing teacher collaboration. New tech coaches and veterans alike will walk away with ideas to implement!Join Boni Hamilton, author of Integrating Technology in the Classroom, as she talks with coaches about using backwards design to help teachers use tech tools as they navigate the various paths to technology implementation.

Get those THINGS and more from a FORMER 1st year iTECH!Join experienced instructional coaches as we share lifesaving strategies and technology applications for empowering teachers to sail their higher-order thinking, personalized learning SHIPs.Learn how to use instructional coaches to build growth mindset across a school district. The vision of the iCoach team is to spend quality time coaching 5-7 teachers throughout one school year. By doing this they can spread influence and clone mindsets to help continue to push teacher leaders forward in order to continue innovating across grade levels, schools, and district.Technology is always changing and Tech Coaches must stay updated on best practices and research, building a strong Personal Learning Network (PLN) is the key. Participants will be exposed to creative ways to use Social Media (Twitter, Voxer, Slack) for professional growth and development.Personalized professional development at Tech CAFE: C-Create, Collaborate, and Connect; A-Advocate, model and teach digital citizenship; F-Facilitate blended learning experiences; E-Engage in professional learning opportunities.To promote use of GAFE, we developed the GSCS Ninja Academy which is housed in Google Classroom. Teachers earn belts based on their knowledge. Academy District 20’s model for Digital Learning Coaches (DLC) is built upon the ISTE Standards for Coaches.
