8 | Arthur and Rochelle Belfer National Conference for Educators | Funded by a grant from the Arthur and Rochelle Belfer Foundation, this conference is designed for pre-service teachers, middle and high school educators, and community college faculty. This three-day conference introduces participants to the Museum's pedagogical approach to teaching about the Holocaust, as well as Museum resources. While the conference is designed for teachers who have less than five years experience teaching about the Holocaust, we welcome all educators who have not yet received training at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. For those teachers who have more than five years experience teaching about the Holocaust and have already attended the Belfer Conference, you are encouraged to apply for the Museum Teacher Fellowship Program. At the conference, Museum educators and scholars share rationales, strategies, and approaches for teaching about the Holocaust. 12 | Centropa Seminar 20th Century European History, Holocaust and Civil Society in the Global Classroom. | This two and a half day seminar will provide participants with an expanded knowledge of 20th century European History, the Holocaust, and Civil Society in the global classroom, and instructional strategies to teach these topics. 15 | C-SPAN's Teacher Fellowship Program | C-SPAN’s Fellowship program is for educators who have experience using C-SPAN’s programming in the classroom and can demonstrate innovative methods of integrating those programs into educational experiences. For four weeks in July, Fellowship recipients will collaborate with C-SPAN’s Education department to develop new teaching materials using C-SPAN resources in order to better serve our Classroom members nationwide. The Fellowship takes place at C-SPAN’s offices in Washington, DC. Each Fellow receives a stipend of $7,000 to cover housing, travel, and living expenses.
