Monthly activities are held every third Thursday during lunch, and are open to all members of the NAHS. Monthly activities give our members an opportunity to expand their artistic experiences outside of their classroom environment, and engage in service activities

Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor SocietyEmily McDermottEmily_F_McDermott@mcpsmd.orgRHO KAPPA is the social studies honor society that recognizes juniors and seniors who demonstrate academic excellence in social studies. Students must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.25 and a GPA of 3.5 in social studies classes. Students must have completed one social studies AP class at the time of membership and have either completed or be enrolled in two other social studies AP classes. RHO KAPPA provides opportunities for exploration in the social studies in secondary school environments and the community.

The team practices science trivia questions from various topics using a buzzer to mimic competition. The team meets from mid-Sept through January. The day-long competition is held on a Saturday in January (1/18/20).
