This information will be displayed to your teachers in the Skills View and Skills tagging screen. You can use skills for everything from school goals to state standards. Quick Code is required and must be unique to each skill. All other fields are optional additional information that will help your teachers understand the skill.

NameOptional. A short name that your teachers will understand. Ex: Letter and Sound Meanings

Quick CodeRequired. Quick Codes must be unique. A unique code or identifier that does not change from year to year. You must provide a unique quick code for each skill so you can update skills in bulk next year if desired. Ex: LITERACY.RF.3.3.

Grade LevelRequired. Choose from Pre-K-12th, Other or All. If skills are shared across grade levels, choose All. Choose a value from the drop down. We've used "Other" for Foundation Year. Grade Level is selected to reflect the Curriculum Level of the skill. If you have mixed year classes, please change the Grade Level to ALL so that ALL teachers have access to the Skills they will use with their classes.

SubjectOptional. Subject area. Ex: ELA, Math, Digital Citzenship

CategoryOptional. If you want another layer of organization in addition the to subject area. Ex: Phonics and Word Recognition, Solve Problems Involving Multiplication and Division.

DescriptionOptional. A more detailed description of the skill. Ex: I can show what I have learned about letters and sounds by figuring out words.

Skills and the stars they are tagged with are only visible to admins and teachers. Students and parents will not see skills or stars at this time.
