| 1/1/2024 9:35:28 | Albion | 67 | The hunters War Hawk rule does not specify whether or not it can be used if the hunter would themselves be unable to use ranged weapons due to being engaged or having charged, reformed etc. While not directly relevant to rules, the flavour text seems to imply the intent that the hawks can be used regardless of of what the hunter is doing. | Lanx Original

In addition, if the wearer is not in combat, one friendly Undead unit within 12" may use their unmodified Weapon Skill instead of their own in close combat." RAW, it's unclear if you are supposed to be able to win a combat with a Vampire wearing the Helm of Commandment, break the opposing unit, and then use the Helm of Commandment in the same turn to buff another unit. Please say either: A) In addition, at the start of the close combat phase, if the wearer is not in combat, one friendly Undead unit may.... or B) In addition, if the wearer is not in combat (even if they were in combat earlier this turn), one friendly Undead unit may... | Devastatingz

| 8/31/2023 5:08:48 | Main Rulebook | 86 | One can make the case that cavalry can't use Swifstride. Swifstride is a rule listed for cav, but it's not in the list of "whole model has it" special rules, so only the rider has it. Since the movement of the rider is never used the mount can't use swistride. Similar thing for impact hits, but less of a problem because the strength of the attack is specified.
| 9/8/2023 17:36:42 | Main Rulebook | 72 | Clarify if breath weapons attacks made from spells (Nurgle signature for example) require you to roll a 4+ to use it a second time.

"Hold should be added as a third charge reaction rather than being described as a lack of charge reaction as it currently is. | Karmic

| 10/5/2023 15:17:30 | Main Rulebook | 11 | In some cases, it is not straightforward if "scattering" means it can hit, or always moves in a random direction. E.g Skaven Stormfiend Windlaunchers say: Wild Misfire: Do not roll on the Stone Thrower Misfire chart if the Windlaunchers misfire. Instead, the template for the attack scatters 2D6. The intention is probably to have the template scatter (no Hit results possible), but according to current wording, it can still hit. | olajosg
| 10/11/2023 9:48:23 | Main Rulebook | 78 | Magic resistance: not clear if the bonus to dispel applies if the wizard dispelling a spell is outside the unit. RAW “a model with MR targeted by a spell obtains a bonus to dispel for spells directing targeting it”. The wizard dispelling is outside the unit, not targeted, no MR dispel bonus even if the unit has MR. Is it intended this way?

| 11/7/2023 20:37:59 | Main Rulebook | 156 | RAW characters that can take heavy armor and can't take mundane shields (e.g. Von Carstein Vampires) can still take magic shields because the heavy armor they can take is "armor with a better save" than a shield. 60 | 11/15/2023 11:59:24 | Main Rulebook | 16 | Starting the battle: it doesn't say explicitly if the player that wins the roll off chooses who goes first or if he has to go first.
| 11/15/2023 12:00:56 | Main Rulebook | 139 | First turn: it doesn't say explicitly if the player that wins the roll off chooses who goes first or if he has to go first. Same comment for all the other scenarios that use that method to determine the first player
| 11/22/2023 6:28:37 | Main Rulebook | 163 | Standard of Discipline Sometime it's not Général that have this rule. I propose this wording in order to avoid certain abuses. A unit with this magic standard has +1 Leadership, but cannot use the Inspiring Presence special rule. If the modele with this rule joins this unit, other units using their Inspiring Presence does not benefit from the +1 Leadership bonus. | Dreadaxe
| 12/29/2023 8:41:43 | Main Rulebook | 91 | >"Alternatively, if a weapon has a fixed Strength, then all attacks made with that weapon use the Strength value shown – the wielder's Strength is ignored. " So to close combat a user of Pistol or Brace of Pistols have S4. Is it right? | Dreadaxe
| 12/29/2023 8:45:21 | Main Rulebook | 91 | >“Range The range tells you at what distance the weapon can be used. If a weapon's range is 'combat' then it can only be used in close combat. If the range is a number of some kind, it is a missile weapon and the number is its maximum range.” Range for Pistol of Brace of Pistol so it's missile weapon and not close combat weapon. Maybe write “Range 12" or Combat” for these weapons. | Dreadaxe
| 12/31/2023 16:14:33 | Main Rulebook | 14 | The rule for Light-fingered is duplicated under the special rules for Thieves despite it not appearing in their special rules list. | Karmic
| 1/5/2024 14:02:28 | Main Rulebook | 60 | Under "Taking a Break Test", first paragraph: "If the total is greater than the unit's modified Leadership value then the unit has broken and will flee." You must take a break test if your modified Leadership is 1 despite being unable to succeed. This sentence could be changed to "If the total is greater than the unit's modified Leadership value minus one then the unit has broken and will flee." | Karmic

| 3/12/2024 20:48:20 | Main Rulebook | 8 | Overlord and Overseer. The standard formula for fighting heroes and lords seems to be adding +2 and +3 WS and +2 and +3 initiative for heroes and lords over whatever their 'base infantry' is (chaos dwarf warriors in this instance). These units only have +1 and +2 initiative respectively. IS this intended? Should the Overseer and the Overlord pay the same amount of points for their upgrades? Making an overseer pay 17% of his starting cost for an armor upgrade seems punitive. Also, it seems out of sync with the other books to not have the hero version's upgrades cost less especially since the weapon upgrades cost less. | Shardfire
| 4/2/2024 0:25:32 | Main Rulebook | 83 | Please clarify that if a unit fails to declare a charge against a Terror-causing unit and does not want to Redirect the Charge into a new target, then the Terror-failing unit can still move normally. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 0:27:32 | Main Rulebook | 74 | In "Fire & Flee" please clarify that the shooters take -1 to hit for "Stand & Shoot" and also a -1 to hit for moving and shooting, for a typical total of -2 to hit (Quick to Fire weapons can ignore one of these penalties, for a total of -1 to hit.) | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 0:29:21 | Main Rulebook | 83 | Please clarify if characters in a unit that has failed a Stupidity test can use Bound Spell items. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 0:31:42 | Main Rulebook | 83 | As written, if a unit fails stupidity and wanders forward into combat, and the combat lasts for 5 turns, then the stupidity unit will be immune to the Combat Resolution from opposing Fear/Terror for all those turns, because it is immune psychology "until they pass the Stupidity test again." This is fine unless you want the Immune(Psychology) to wear off at the start of the Stupidity player's next turn. Probably ok as is. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 0:33:43 | Main Rulebook | 163 | Warrior Familiar: Where it says "This does not benefit from any weapon used by the character." please edit to "weapon or special rule". Some people are out there giving their character Potion of Strength and Heroic Killing Blow or other special rules and claiming that this works with the Warrior Familiar, which is an abuse of the intention of this 5 point familiar. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 0:37:09 | Main Rulebook | 33 | Where it says: "If a Wizard loses one or more Wizard levels, they instantly forgets a single spell for each Wizard level lost, chosen at random from those they know." Please add: "If the same effect that led them to lose a Wizard level specified the spell to be lost, the Wizard forgets this spell instead. Losing a Wizard level this way does not also cause a Wizard to lose access to a spell that is now too high for their Wizard Level." Without this edit, players are claiming that effects that say "The wizard loses a random spell and a wizard level" make the wizrd lose a random spell, then lose a second random spell because of page 33, then also lose their level 6 spell because they are no longer a level 4 wizard. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 0:38:51 | Main Rulebook | 164 | In Gleaming Pennant, please change "reroll its first failed Leadership test." to "reroll a failed Leadership test. Without this change, if there is a BSB nearby, the Gleaming Pennant charge is absorbed without doing anything. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 0:44:28 | Main Rulebook | 17 | Under the "1" apart" section, please cut all references to impassable terrain. Impassable Terrain like Lakes/Mountains/Pits/Etc. already clearly show the border of where units can't move. It's bizarre to have units also not be able to cross an invisible 1" diameter around these shapes. No one actually plays that they can't go within 1" of a Lake/Pit/Mountain, so the rules should not ask players to do this. There are other references to not being able to go within 1" of impassable terrain on pages, 30, 64, 80, 140. If you search for the word "impassable" they should all come up. I know it's a hassle to adjust them all, but it's a bad, counter-intuitive rule that no one uses, so it should be removed from the rulebook. Thanks for considering it. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 0:51:06 | Main Rulebook | 93 | Please clarify that Pistol and Brace of Pistols do not get their strength 4 or armor piercing when used in melee. As written it really looks like they do get to use those in melee, and you basically need to have someone who knows tells you that it doesn't work that way. The best solution would be either: ----a) Write explicitly that using them in melee gives only +1attack and requires two hands, with no S4 and no armour piercing. ----OR b) Write a different profile for melee and for ranged. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 0:58:53 | Main Rulebook | 115 | Cannons and stone throwers both say that the initial target must not cover any friendly models, but it's acceptable if the scatter might hit friendly models. By contrast, Fire Throwers say the template cannot be placed "in such a way that the template might hit a friendly unit." For consistency, please make Fire Throwers work the same as the other two, where the initial template can't hit friendly units, but it's acceptable if a scatter might make it hit friendly units. If you want to continue the inconsistency, (not recommended) please clarify more explicitly in the text that the template cannot be placed if any possible roll on the artillery die could make the flame template hit a friendly unit. In addition, please clarify that if the Fire Thrower is fired from a unit's second rank, then the flame template can be placed in front of the front rank. (This comes up with Warpfire Projectors fired from the second rank of Skaven Stormfiends.) | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 1:01:46 | Main Rulebook | 50 | The section "Multi-Wound Models and Multi-Wound Weapons" confuses people asking questions on the WAP server all the time. Please add an example to clarify. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 1:06:29 | Main Rulebook | 84 | Where it says "Units that have made a Vanguard move cannot declare a charge in the first turn if their army goes first. This also includes charging in the Magic phase." Please change the last sentence to "This also includes charging in the Magic phase or through Random Movement effects - instead the moving unit stops 1" away." This is to prevent spells like Squig Lure or The Call of the Hunt (Athel Loren lore) or WAAAAGH from making Vanguard units move forward with Random Movement on turn 1, going into melee with the opponent before they have the chance to react at all. Please make similar edits in Scouts section in page 80 that says "If deployed in this second way, Scouts cannot declare a charge in the first turn if their side goes first." | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 1:07:44 | Main Rulebook | 75 | In "Berserk Rage" please clarify that the Frenzy unit is allowed to declare a charge against a farther-away enemy without having to take an Ld-test to avoid charging the closer enemy instead. This section could use some rewriting to be honest. Really appreciate your work and leadership. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 1:09:37 | Main Rulebook | 89 | Under Chariots where it says "The crew can fire in 360 degrees around them" please specify that Wizards may also cast spells in 360 degrees around them, and that this means that direct damage spells that say "affect all enemies within range" will affect all enemies in a 360 degree arc. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 1:16:32 | Main Rulebook | 38 | In Magical Vortexes, please clarify that if a Misfire causes a Magical Vortex to be places above the caster then move some number of inches, whether or not the vortex affects appears after the misfire-scatter distance and affects only models under that position (recommended) or if automatically also hits the caster and every model under the initial position focused on the caster, plus every model on the path from that initial point to the final destination of the misfire-scatter. (not recommended - too crushing and painful for the caster, which contributes to magical vortexes generally being ineffective and not very often used - as well as requiring a lot of dice, plus the big risk of a miscast to hit the high casting value, and plus the chance of getting dispelled, there's also a 1/6 chance that you nuke your own wizard and part of your own army., plus a chance that the random direction hits your own army later. It's too many ways to go wrong for too little upside, and I say that even as a player of Skaven and Orcs who is more ok than most folks with some wacky misfires.) | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 1:20:49 | Main Rulebook | 77 | High Elf Loremasters don't have the "Loremaster" special rule, but instead have a different rule to know lots of spells, which is confusing. It's hard to change the name of the hero, so the name of the ability should change. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 1:22:04 | Main Rulebook | 13 | Multiple people have been confused that "a unit's strength" is completely different from "a unit's unit strength." We should use a different name for unit strength. | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 1:23:35 | Main Rulebook | 151 | The Spell "The Withering" is named too similarly to the Skaven Ruin spell "Wither". | Devastatingz
| 4/2/2024 1:29:21 | Main Rulebook | 93 | WAP has 4 different kinds of shooting weapons all named "Blunderbuss" that work different ways as shown here https://wap.whfb.app/search/blunderbuss?show=false . Some of them have adjectives like Hailshot Blunderbuss and some don't. Please consider whether you want to unify some of them to work the same way and put that main way into the BRB as "Blunderbuss". If you want some to work some other way, then those could still be called "Hailshot" or I guess "Hailshot Blunderbuss", though the latter is more confusing. | Devastatingz
| 4/6/2024 15:53:54 | Main Rulebook | 87 | There are two profiles for Spears the melee weapon. In the italic text it clarifies that one is the spears on foot and one is the spears on riding mount, but I think adding (foot) and (mounted) to these profiles would clarify the difference when using a spear.
| 4/16/2024 10:36:10 | Main Rulebook | 72 | Like the wording that Vanguards and Scouts on the first turn should also receive, please adjust Ambushers to say: "Ambushers cannot declare a charge on the turn they enter the battlefield this way. Special rules or spells that would move them into close combat instead stop 1" away." A good example of problems with the current wording is that Blessed Spawning of Huanchi and Huanchi's Blessed Totem can let a LM unit appear on any edge of the board and instantly charge into the flank or rear of any enemy unit. They can do this within about 13" of any board edge for Saurus or 18" for Kroxigor/Skink Cohorts. The opponent has no chance to respond, can't make any dispel rolls, and can't possibly win a fight against these units hitting the flank or rear.
