Specialties: The nexus of POP-Culture in the Fitchburg area! Comics, Magic the Gathering, Games, Toys and more! Established in 1989. Worcester's That's E was opened in 1980; but in October 1989, Paul Howley added a 2nd location with the purchase of a shop in Fitchburg, MA. The store, situated in an oddly long, narrow space on Main St., had been a "Same Bat Channel" location. It featured a great mural of Heroes up and down the walls. Sadly, there was no way to take those images with us when we moved to a rented space at Wallace Plaza, where we found more parking (and free!) and more foot traffic. Eventually, ownership of the Plaza changed, soon motivating us to seek other options! We quickly found an nice spot just seconds away on John Fitch Highway; and after a while at that space the chance came to have a wall removed and take over the space next door, DOUBLING the size to 3,000 sq. ft. In addition to more room for existing product lines, the expansion allowed for in-store gaming events! It was then that the Fitchburg That's E really came into it's own identity: the hub of Pop-Culture for northern Massachusetts!

They moved the business to a Main St. location and added the music department. In 2004, they bought and renovated a historic building on North St. and remained at that location until 2013. With a decline in the pet business, especially after a Petco opened in town, they decided to liquidate that portion of the business and expanded the music and toy departments. May 2013 brought Knapps back to Main St. where they are located today.
