She is currently the Regional Robotics Coordinator for EDAWN, the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, focusing on the connection between K-12 robotics and the local workforce. Additionally, she coordinates the FIRST LEGO League program in Northern Nevada. She recently retired from Aspen Middle School where she coached FIRST teams, coordinated a regional robotics tournament, and served on the LEGO Education Advisory Panel as a middle-grade educator. Peter Hanson also retired after more than 25 years, combining his love of STEM, science, math as a hands-on learning educator. He has been a robotics coach, math educator, science educator, and science outreach coordinator before moving into a maker-oriented position for grades 5 through 8. He is currently focusing on his two passions of radio-controlled airplanes and bicycling. Earlier this fall he completed a bucket list trip, riding his bike from San Francisco to San DIego along Highway 1.
