Their phone contact: (817) 262-9864 (504) 509-9460. They are suburb teachers, attentive to technique, movement pattern in the context of any step(s) they are teaching. They are humble and humourous, generous with individual coaching in the context of an entire class. Wonderfully complement each other in each role, leas and follow.

I've had the opportunity to learn from both Rod & Jenny multiple times now, and with each time it gets better and better. Both Rod & Jenny have a very approachable methodology to understanding complicated sequences, and they really work with every student to understand what makes tango, tango, and the key to making the dance work. They also have incredible class management skills, which make it easy to be in their classes and have a good, educational time—even in role/gender dis-balanced classes. Very, very highly recommended as instructors.

Jose is creative and fun as an instructor, but his superpower is that he has been a part of a group of tango dancers who are recording the older milongueros to preserve their styling/steps for the future. He has studied with all the older milongueros, as he has danced/performed/taught tango for over 30 years. He also has training in theater and painting, and has a really good understanding of performing as well.

Rod and Jenny are not only beautiful dancers, but are excellent teachers. They require everyone to switch often in their classes, so if you come without a partner you are not going to be stuck with one random person in their class. If you come with a partner you will have to switch regularly, but they do this actively to ensure that you learn to work through movements with a range of people. Their class structure allows for practicing learning by watching as well as exploring solutions alone before getting the answers. They also provide great information regarding both leader and follower technique.

Rod & Jenny are two of the best dancers *and* teachers in the country. Their dancing is pulling so far ahead of others it's getting scary. They are building a huge following all the way from Chicago to New Orleans, and I'm confident they would be a hit at any festival in the world. Also, I am a high school teacher by profession, and speaking as a pedagogue, their classes are excellent. Their lessons are clearly well planned, their 'classroom management' skills are outstanding, and I always learn something both useful and exciting! If you hire them this year, I will be there. I might go anyway, but if Rod & Jenny were teaching, that would seal the deal for me.

Igor Polk is an author of the book ""Twist Forms" Dance Theory of Argentine Tango" where he is proposing to you a theory how basic tango elements are born out of basic human abilities. It essentially covers everything in tango including the difference between main tango styles: salon vs. orillero (nuevo). Material is presented somewhat in mathematical form allowing a method of improvisation by combining basic elements since they fit each other like puzzle. Igor' theory is perfected by teaching for 14 years: thousands of group classes and private lessons. Igor is an amazing dancer able to dance in all tango styles: salon, orillero, nuevo, milonguero, canyengue, apilado with anyone. His classes are always fun and inspiring. A student of his with high education in dance said: "EVERYONE has to take Igor's dance classes". She compares him with the best modern dancers ever, like Jack Cole. Igor is ready to provide material from a lesson to a series of workshops, breaking nonsense, bringing clarity, and moving the dance art to new heights. Guaranteed!

Hi Clay, Thanks for this opportunity to share some of my thoughts. When we talked briefly at Burning Tango, I shared with you that Jonathan was in Cleveland doing workshops with his dance partner Olivia. I was very excited to finally see the tapes of the performances as they show his versatility in the tango world. He and his partner are able to take music that we have heard a hundred times and make it unique experience each time. In addition to being a great dancer, he is a great teacher and is able to teach using the connection with the partner and the music to create a unique experience every time. He teaches an individual either male or female to immerse themselves in the music and the connection, and to create a special bond for that moment and dance. Being able to teach someone to have these special moments is what tango is all about and what makes all the hours of practice worthwhile. His ability to teach someone to grasp this moment and make it beautiful and sensuous like the music itself is what makes him a special teacher and able to add to the diversity in any festival. Hope to see you and Nancy soon, Paula
