Love BitesIn 2018 run in Canterbury Boys High, Condell Park High, Chester Hill, Bass High (Bass Hill), Sir Joseph Banks High, East Hills High, (& Kingsgrove High?)Mission Australia received funding Clubs grant on behalf of Love Bites C-B. Coordination suppport also from C-B Council High School, YearsEducation awareness raising program. On 1 full day: 2 interactive education workshops, Followed by creative workshops and commuity campaign. Using arts &/or music. Facilitated by workers from aprox 10 services.What is Domestic Violence; What is Sexual Assault; Consent is important; Respectful Relationships ,Safety and Trust, violence against Women and Children, Attitudes and Beliefs, Sexism, When a relatioship Goes Bad, What makes a Good Relationship, Being a Bystander.More engaging and accessable as using arts and music - YP crteate their own art or music piece based no the themes discussedCan be just a 1 off / 1 Day program - better if planned follow up can be arranged with the schools / supported by community groupsDelivered to over 15000 Year 10 students in past 3 yearFacebook pageCassie Plaice - Mission Australia C-B Council - Pota Training in Love Bites every year- usually in Februray. It's Time to Talk about Domestic Violence Canterbury Bankstown. Workshop locations TBC CECAL received funding from Council (from state govt funds) on behalf of C-Bankstown DVLC. Campaign committee establised - other workers welcome to joinCommunity Education Campaign Specific Target audience TBC - young peopleWebsite and campaign. Initailly developed as education program and resources for GPs in 2006. The DVLC campaign sub-committee will be updating the website and developing a healthy relationships education campaign which will link with the site.Healthy realtionships, respectful relatioships.
