Questions I Asked Myself
13
Why spend time to make this? / Why choose to pull back the curtain so much?seems cool

Why make this as a spreadsheet?Firstly, there are other methods I've laid this information out. Check the top of the spreadsheet to see the other lists that I have created laying out all of the samples. In any case, I was originally planning on creating a video version as I think an audiovisual experience would undoubtedly be the best method to digest this information; hearing the exact portion of the original sample followed by hearing how it fits in the final song. Unfortunately, any way I tried to create this video resulted in an incomprehensible mess. There's simply too much to go over. I was originally intending for the sample breakdown to be equally as primary of a project as the album itself, but this creative difficulty eventually led it into a secondary focus. I think this still works though, as you can choose to dive into the complexities of Where All These Sounds Came From if you so desire. I've tried to provide as much information regarding the creation of this album as I can while still being comprehensible and without losing my own sanity.

Will there be any information about this album I won't give out?I think it's valuable to make your own connections to the art and experiences you take in during your life; to discern what certain things mean to you and to live your life the way you want to. As such, I will likely never go over the (albeit loose and minimal) themes that I had in mind while making this album. I know what the album means to me, but I don't want that to taint how others view it. Whether a listener "grows up" with this album and has many resonant emotional experiences in tandem with the music I've made, or, far more likely, listening to it once in the background and promptly forgetting about it forever, I want it to feel like their album, whatever that means to them. I'm sure you can probably piece together certain ideas that are more overt than others, but the same general philosophy of not making this "MY" album remains the same. Seems hardly likely anyone would read anything like that regardless so who cares. Hello to the weirdo deep enough into my work to be bothered enough to read this though!

Will there be physical releases of this album?I would love to but it's highly doubtful it'll ever happen for a wide scope of reasons.

Why do some of the samples' description only read as "sound effect"? Why do some of the years read as "?"?As best as I tried to keep accurate recording of every sample I used in the album, a lot slipped through the cracks. Sounds I can't find the exact origin for and samples so obscure that I can't find an accurate release date for them (this also played into not making a video version). Certain sounds from video games and movies can also be hard to describe as another other than "sound effect." If you think you have any additional information regarding any of the samples included here, feel free to reach out to me and I will verify and include here as soon as I can.
