The Heritage Humanities Club is a extra-curricular student-oriented club for Heritage students seeking to enhance their program experience beyond the classroom. The focus of the club is to go on weekend field trips to support the learning happening inside the Heritage classes. Examples of field trips include cultural trips (e.g. The Getty, The Bowers Museum, and LACMA), historical trips (e.g. Chinese-American Museum of L.A., the Japanese American National Museum, and the Historic District of L.A. at Olvera Street), multicultural ethnic events (e.g. The Chinatown Dragon Parade, The O.C. Tet Festival, and the Little Tokyo Cherry Blossom Festival), and various university campus tours. The club also incorporates community service activities throughout the year, such as beach cleanup, trail maintenance, and holiday food drives with various organizations. All activities occur on weekends.56
