Gendou’s the type of man that, understandably enough, raises a lot of red flags at first glance. With his unkempt look accompanied by the heavy smell of tobacco, this is the kind of man you are usually discouraged to even make eye contact with. Or to some, this is also the type of man that you come to wonder what wrong turns he has had in life that has made him a walking corpse (quite literally, too!)

Worry not though! The truth is that Gendou’s a well-meaning spirit. Sociable, fun, flexible - he’s a guy with morals and principles who always strives to do the right thing, with only the best intentions in mind. He just also got hit pretty hard by the merciless truck we call life, making him so… difficult to look at sometimes! Like a trainwreck that you know you should look away from, but still peek between your fingers. He’s got the best intentions, yes, but he’s also has the worst habits and impulsive traits that makes him constantly shoot himself in the foot. It is very often you will see Gendou make a fool out of himself - watching his logical reasoning go from excellent and competent to “god no, why would you even think of doing that?!”

There’s nothing he really wishes to hide - not that he can anyway, he’s as transparent as one can be. His emotions are at all times expressed through his emotions and body language, whether it be hollering laughter or uncontrollable rage. He lets his emotions get the best of him, which essentially usually causes him to march into battles he most definitely can’t win. Truly, he kind of needs adult supervision, before the neighborhood kids are bound to bully the guy with a midlife crisis again.

Despite it all, Gendou’s a fighter. A really stubborn one too. Life has already given him enough of the middle finger, but he really refuses to stay dead. One can say it’s kind of pitiful, some might find inspiration that he somehow keeps on going and still wishes to turn his life to a more positive road.
