Milkweed Species
Directions: Simply fill in your site code in cell A2 and record the species in B2
2
Select the species of milkweeds you are studying in E2. If you are studying a different species, please write out the scientific name in the same format used in the other choices.
3
Then, enter data for each plant you observe at each time (1,2,or 3) in the associated data entry sheets.
4
Enter one row of data for each observation of a plant. If 3 separate groups observed the same plant, then there should be 3 rows of data in these datasheets for that plant number.
5
Please try to enter something into every cell in each row If you did not take a measurement, use NA (not N/A) rather than 0 to indicate data are missing.
6
Do not alter the columns highlighted in red. Those in blue should have the same entry for every record from your class.
7
The workbook is designed to tabulate and graph the data automatically in the "Graphs" sheet, but of course you may wish to explore the data further.
8
Download this file as an excel file, and submit it via google form. The Aggregate data combines all of your data together. We'll use it to combine your data with data from other sites.
9
You can also use the Aggregate datasheet to see how reliable different measurements of the same plant are--high standard deviations should cause you to question the data.

If you need to record extra notes, you may do so below.
