Pippi Kit Coin Drop Calculator
— Take the guess work out of probability

This system is comprised of five separate drops for each type of coin in The Age of Calamitous (AoC), which combine probabalistically to yield the the original desired Gold/Kit value. This calculator is designed for minimal guess-work when trying to create fun and dynamic AoC coin drop kits in the Pippi - User & Server Management interface. Depending on the difficulty of obtaining the kit, they have an appropriate amount of AoC coins dropped per kit. Various kits are listed as NPC drop kits, but it should be straightforward to add your own. Save a copy of this calculator for your use, and use the template for new kits; pay attention to problem indicators.CHANGE these values!CHANGE these values to perfect the drop!

Depending on the needs of your server, you should mainly just change the amount of Gold/Kit, the Gold/Silver/Copper/Tin coin makeup of the entire kit, and the associated percentages that you want for each drop. The calculator determines the values of the coins per drop needed to hit the target Gold/Kit, rounds those values and finds residuals, and then recalculates drop values to get as close as possible to the target Gold/Kit value. Due to final rounding, there likely will be a small error that needs to be corrected at the end to be exact. See the example for more info.
14
DON'T CHANGE these values, but there's an error somewhere! Try changing drop %'s or target Gold/Kill.General values; ignore this stuff, or manually tweak values (advanced).

This example NPC drop kit is a good testing area to get familiar with this calculator. By default, all of the helpful hints are collapsed, since the hope is that the calculator will be intuitive enough. If hints are needed, simply expand the column and row groups.

A fair effort went in to making this calculator as accurate as mathematically possible, while removing most/all of the hard work (i.e. the math). What's particularly nice is that the drops are quite modular. Drops can be built to have certain coins only, while complete control over the drop percentages and kit values is maintained! The active coins and their drop percentages alone are enough to determine the drop values, but it is also possible to select how the calculator corrects for the inevitable rounding errors which occur because only whole percentage values are allowed in the Pippi UI.

This calculator has coin-specific corrections for all of the AoC coins, but by default only the Tin coins are being recalculated to produce the target Gold/Kit. If Tin coins are not being dropped in the kit, then it is not very easy to obtain a nice drop result, since the Tin calculator is in this case disabled. As Tin coins are 1/12500th of an AoC gold, the Tin calculator is the most accurate of all of the calculators in this gadget, and accuracy decreases as higher coin calculators are activated! There are, of course, situations when it is not desirable to drop Tin or even Copper, but instead only Gold and Silver coins. In those cases, their calculators will need to be activated.

Thank you! for taking the time to use this tool for your Conan Exiles server! If you have found this calculator to be useful or have found an error, I'd love to know your thoughts, suggestions, and feedback!

If some of the boxes near the final BLUE section are HIGHLIGHTED, it's because that calculator has not succeeded in correcting the offset and needs a tiny bit of help! In most cases you'll only need to slightly modify the Drop # Values or simply change the original percentages. Only the coins with active calculators should be changed. A handy 'trick' to get it just right is to (mentally) multiply a small, workable offset by 100%, and then change a 'nearby' percentage's drop value by whole numbers. (Ex. If Copper offset = +0.2, lower the drop-val for 20% by 1, if there is one, or 10% by 2, 5% by 4, or 4% by 5).0.010-0.0050.0000.0000.010-0.0050.000-0.005
